Barack's ONLY good judgment was in picking HIllary as SOS. Her strength, competence, intelligence and commitment to Public Service thrughout her life (unlike Obama's stealing his AA mentor's Sen.Alice Palmer's election in Chicago '96 via Fraud!) will restore U.S.'s Dubya legacy of shame. I think they should vote against Senator Clinton. Then President-elect Obama can nominate someone more qualified for the specific, diplomat-in-chief job of secretary of state. By qualifications I mean: extensive previous diplomatic experience or research and analysis in that area. For example, a former undersecretary, or former ambassador to a strategically important nation like China, Russia, or Pakistan. Or alternatively, an international diplomacy expert with proven administrative competence.

Clearly the best choice for Secretary of State was New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who embodies all those assets you value. Unfortunately, Richardson was not only nominated for a separate office (Secretary of Commerce), he was forced to remove his name from consideration. He will have his day in court, but it is too late for him to be a part of Obamas cabinet this term. Lessons learned.
