  • This comment is pretty lame, but does as reverse headstock alone not just look bad ass? Like between :27 - :32 lol Something about it, fuckin love'em!

  • ultra bass nice rob

  • holy shit do u guys hear that bass!!

  • @gdrocker93 Yes, Trujillo is a beast. He's that that depth, funk and groove. Metallica made the best choice when they hired him.

  • its so odd how this is the only concert where I've seen them use ambient noise and the screeching guitars to introduce and end songs.

  • they do it in s&m too :)

  • they do that alot

  • the noise seems higher in pitch here then others.

  • BEST SONG EVER

  • tarantulaaaa!

  • Comment removed

  • chances are you probably will. They usually play master of puppets, one, fade to black, nothing else matters, enter sandman at every single concert they play :)

  • not fade to black as much

  • they played fade to black right b4 this and i was recording it and my arms got tired so i stopped during the screeching at the beginning...3 seconds more and i woodnt have stopped til the entire song was over

  • LOL! 2:13 -- "BONNAROO!"

  • this was a great concert. i watched it on the at&t blue room or whatever it was.

and i just noticed. kirk could have used a little more volume on the solo.

  • megadeth is metallicas little brother sorry man i love deth but dave will tell you the same thing that's why his a dick head because every time he comes out with a album the tallica boys come out with fire and lightenign

  • dave mismo ha dicho qe metallica es mas heavy que megadeth, obiamente se referia a sus primeros discos, no a la mierda popera de hoy e dia

  • que lenguage ablas

  • Patriotdude

Im not gonna be a dick so i aint here to argue .These guys are the reason i started playing guitar 17 years ago.

If you listen to the harmonised solo carefully you can hear the mistake. Its at the end where james takes the lead.

    Still fucken legends!!!

  • o i heard it its just that wen i replied to ur comment i never watched the whole vid but i did hear it tho

  • Oh dam James! he missed like three notes????

  • wen in the beginning? no thats how he plays it live

  • If you cant hear the notes im refering to then obviously you aint been playing that long.

  • FUCK!!

Would of loved to been there!!!!

    They are legends

  • hammett might have screwed up during his solo

  • it was hetfields solo

  • ok no need for the hate. but at the end of the james hetfield solo, does he mess up? 4:39 4:42

  • It sounds like he might have a hit a wrong note or something. Its barely noticeable though.

  • love this band, seem to just get better an better

  • They were so much better back before the black album

  • @Kiraous I disagree. I haven't heard anything I liked by them since "...And Justice For All"

  • how does a band continue to exceed expectations so easily as metallica? i loved live shit binge & purge, the performances were amazing then. im glad every time i see a vid of a performance, it seems better than the last. especially now... kirk and james seem to have opened up a lot more on stage musically and emotionally. a new dynamic with a new member. great connection with the crowd and awesome energy! i will pay whatever it costs to be front and centre if they come to aus... MASTER!!!!!!!!!!

  • @inpsychotive It seems that since they've cleaned up, ( drugs and alcohol) and are like a family, and Trujillo joined , their just amazing They were great in the 80's, sucked in the 90's and excellent now!

  • ooohhh... ooohh... ooohhh... ooohh! fuck i love it!

  • 0:29

  • bought tickets to see them in columbus the 9th cant fucking wait!

  • umm i love metallica but did james do something with his voice guz its to high pitch when he yells just can some one fill me in metllaica rules!!!!

  • love the song!

    Master! Master!

  • i recognize metallica anywhere! i was playin doom on my super nes and i relized that the first riff is the song for the first level... huh....

  • so glad i was there, going see them again in november. but this was truely an unforgettable show

  • Metallica why they dont play identical then?

  • one of the most memorable opening riffs in music history

  • those songs suck compared to this:D

  • what about them? this kicks their ass

  • hahah, except for if it wasn't for those songs metallica wouldn't be around

  • MOSH PIT!!!!!!

  • why?

  • i bet he could blow your ass out of the water :)

  • dragonfroce in live really sucks,i admit it they songs sound cool in the studios ver but in live they sound like a cat

    anyway metalica rlz

  • StudioForce sucks, don't compare em with legends such as Metallica.

  • yeah dragonforce live sucks, i see them in milan, i hate this band live.

  • i love that.. studioforce

    lol

  • MASTEEEEEEEER

  • dragonforce is fucking awful

  • WTF is wrong with you,,, no ones compares with Metallica,,, maybe the arent as good that they were but they are much better than dragon force

  • yeah if you like listening to the same song over and over, because every song they have sounds exactly the same.

  • Idiot no song sounds same if you say that tell the same about TTFAF och Revolution Deathsquad.

  • when your known for something as dumb as the pac-man noise, and nothing relevant like a famous solo or riff, you know you suck. and they suck live because in the studio they edit and fix all the shittiness. and yes, all dragonforce sounds the same.

  • i hope your joking cause i seen your video of u playing the guitar, & well. u shouldn't even be listing to rock in the first place with your shitty talent.

  • i wasnt talking about metallica. i was talking about shitty dragonforce. and plus, ive only been playin 4 a year and taht was a horrible video. i hav 2 post up my version of master and all of the good shit

  • Sure you were mothafucker!!!

  • they've still got it! maybe showing their age just a tad, but still amazing.

  • is gay

  • Fuck youm

  • fuck ur mom

  • dragonforce is indeed ubergay tbh

  • You are.

  • studioforce sucks transvestite nuts

  • nobody combares to MetallicA you know why? cuz their the best band ever, the best ever existed and the best there ever will be!!!!!!

  • probably going to see metallica in january, get to hear some of the new material live :D

  • i am so proud to have been there and i will see them again on the new tour, You should too!

  • that was the fucking coolest concert ever..i had to scream at my friend for him to hear me and we were 150-200 yards away

  • R..E..S..P..E..C..T

  • seriously man, fade to black, then a moment of silence (for cliff im pretty sure), then MASTER!! kicks in? i mean, hwo great is that, im glad i lived it live and up close in kfma day

  • The solo was soo calming.

    felt good.

  • really hard and fast solo, only Kirk...i can't wait for death magnetic!!!

  • if i was at that concer t my ears will bleed like crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • But it would be so worth it.

  • Pearl Jam and Metallica are my two favourite bands ever but I do get a bit annoyed with Vedder's drinking. People don't pay over £40 for semi drunk performances -_-

  • To the poster below me, I heard quite the opposite from everyone I talked to. Metallica was being crucified before Bonnaroo, but they came out and kicked ass ( and suprised a few people). As far as their songs sounding the same, Metallica has one of the most varied catalogues of any band I can think of. From Speed Metal to alternative to even country influences. Pearl Jam (whom I love) have recycled so many rythyms over the years it's not even funny. No PJ album will sound diff. from another

  • Totally agree...Long live to MetallicA

  • Haha! Cause Eddie was drunk? No, it's just because Metallica kicks ass! Hell, back in '91 and '92 James was high and drunk during every concert, and that's when they were the best! The only thing it can do is make you more fun...

  • yea, I'm pretty sure people weren't wanting Metallica's like 2 hour set to end. I love Pearl Jam, but they played for close to 3 1/2 hours, so I was wanting them to end their set, especially after Eddie's drunken ramblings about change. Peace

  • uhh sorry to tell u dude but i was there and i didn't hear one person saying anything like that......i did hear thousands of people chanting one more song at the end but that was it

  • Metallica was better at Bonnaroo because Metallica is a better band. It is that simple. Metallica in any other era would be put up as gods in music for what they have accomplished. They get a ton of haters from everywhere but they still triumph over all and dominate. They are THE Jordan of music and don't doubt Death Magnetic my friend.

  • Simply awesome.

  • watching these videos im pleasantly surprised at how James' voice sounds. I was afraid from some other videos id seen that his voice was getting pretty much shot but it sounds like he's taking good care of it.

  • Kirk's solo was kick ass.

  • I agree, though this performance was so sick. moshing during kirk's solo was like a dream

  • yea i dont really like him compared to well..u no who...RIP

  • dude...cliff burton was amazing ok....but everyone needs to accept the fact he aint around no more....people need to stop comparing other bass players to him because no one will ever match up to him.....trujilo is an amazing bassist if he weren't he wouldn't be in metallica

  • i think you're a jackass.

  • i hope u aint talkin to me

  • no im talking to themisfitskickass

  • oh my bad

  • i do agree with your comment. cliff was definitely one of the best...but hes not there anymore. i like rob a lot and if he sucked he wouldn't be with metallica. you also gotta remember this will be his first album with metallica, we for sure will know how good he is when we hear the new album. but i like what i see out of rob so far. seems like the potential is there.

  • lol...bob rock recorded bass for st anger they hired rob after the album was done

  • nah bob rock did the bass for them on the album, robs only been on death magnetic

  • not quite my friend, former producer bob rock recorded the bass parts for st anger. rob will debut in studio for metallica on their new album in sept called death magnetic. supposed to be really good from what i hear. up and down tempos.

  • lol...u fail
