Thank you lady! I was trying to figure this technique out for a while now. Thanks for the help. You were very clear and easy to learn from. Thanks again Sistah!
@gazaflexx Yes.. i had them in and i cut them off from where ut started you can see that its a lil thicker than the new growth. i had them in in for 5months. If you have the time and patience you can pick through them using water and a leave in conditioner.

I use this method to create my Soft Twists. I dont use it for extending or creating locs. I use the braiding and wrapping method where I braid the hair to the clients desired length and wrap synthetic/ human hair around the braid. This gives the illusion on a loc that was started with the single twist method. You can view a picture of my soft twists by visiting my youtube video - Search for EBNBHair.
I have a tip for peaple looking for to do dread locs dont just wing the section like at 1:08 what i did was i went to a micro breading place and had them section my hair in 1 inch sections then i backcombed and waxed
i thought the whole process of locking your hair was to go natural, "real" your hair. Not some weave "human hair," might as well get freestyle braids and let them lock. Right?
when your hair grows out... will the dreadlock be unstable or uneven or messed up because there won't be any added hair on the new hair that grows in?
hey,,,i have a friend who has dread extensions and you cant tell..when the new growth comes in..it just grows in with the extension because she palmsroll the newgrowth with the extension. so nope..you cant tell.
one question though. with this particular method for two strand, can the fake kinky hair be kept in just like it could if you were to get dread extensions? or will it be visible that its fake?
thanks so much for this video this is exactly what ive been looking for because i plan on getting my hair locked with extra hair to the twist and needed some more info. thanks so much
I have straight short hair and i want my hair to look like the stylist in this video but not quite as long lol anyone have any helpfull suggestions?

what happens when the hair grows out? Is it a lot thinner than the section that has extra hair?

how do u maintain the 2 strand twist when there is new growth from the scalp?
numero1fan4u 2 years ago
using the twist and clip method works very well. basically you palm roll the new growth and secure with a clip.
shagurl212 2 years ago
can i do the same thing u just did over a thin dread
