That could likely be a rear foglight you're referring to. A lot of European cars have rear foglights where one light (rear brake light) illuminates brighter than the rest. Not sure about the Jetta but my Saab has one and I know Audis have them as well.

@nickm456123 If it's from a dead stop, then I'd turn it off b/c it'll bog you down to keep the wheels from spinning. Wheel spin isn't always bad for launching. If it's from a roll past 10 mph it won't matter. He's going to be pissed when he sees your back end pulling away no matter what.

anyone know y some of the vw jettas tend to have one headlight dimmer than the other like the blue one in the vid. my car is the same way..is it a recall thing or what?

That could likely be a rear foglight you're referring to. A lot of European cars have rear foglights where one light (rear brake light) illuminates brighter than the rest. Not sure about the Jetta but my Saab has one and I know Audis have them as well.

Hi I'm in high school and I have a jetta 1.8t with an apr 93 chip... I'm goin to race this nigger with a charger 3.5l.. He thinks my car is a shitty economy car. I really want to smoke this dude. I was wondering... When I am going to to a "drag" race with him, should I turn the ESP off? Thanks

@nickm456123 If it's from a dead stop, then I'd turn it off b/c it'll bog you down to keep the wheels from spinning. Wheel spin isn't always bad for launching. If it's from a roll past 10 mph it won't matter. He's going to be pissed when he sees your back end pulling away no matter what.
