a good way to tell if the surface is solid is to shoot it if it leaves a bullet mark then its solid and if it doesnt then u can fall through it

hey, guys. The farthest I've ever gotten on ascension is rnd 29. I started with 4 players but they all timed out, which left me and 1 other guy alone, and he was on the other side of the map. I got a dethmachine and got on the lander, and it let me just sort of walk of the edge. I landed on a building, but randomly died shortly after. Any1 know how this happened?
