Hahahaha... poor miserable revolutionaries. You think that anarchism is good. It leads to comunism, and, belive me I lived in comunism, you couldn't do anything in that sistem. You just work. You don't have any liberties. Wake up and smell the concrete autocrative sistems are dead. Power to the people is never going to happen if there are people involved. You all should have lived in the East to see it in full force. Oh I have a better idea go to Cuba!
You haven't lived in communism, it hasn't existed.Russia and all those fascists can say they are communist all they want, doesn't make it true.Like, i can say i'm Mr. Rogers, but i'm not wearing a sweater. Imposed socialism can only be despotic.
Anarchism doesn't necessarily lead to communism, though it should.
And even though i don't like Cuba all too much, i've seen pictures that my friends took when they went. They're not the miserable people that the US government makes them out to be.
Typical Ireland with it's under resourced Gardai. They had to borrow the water cannon machine from the PSNI then register it and tax it so it could be used in the republic. We are the laughing stock of the world. They should have been issued tear gas to disband those tree hugging hippies. In this day and age we should have an armed police force too.
Has anyone ever brought shampoo, soap, and a lufa to the riots?
It might come in handy as some satirical device whenever they turn on those hoses. Both for the anarchist and capitalist. The anarchists can use it to show that the hoses dont work...
and maybe the capitalist can use it to perpetuate the notion that these are smelly hippies, even though i think most thinking individuals realize that they arent smelly hippies in reality..
Fair Play to the professionalism of the Gardai they portraited a great image of the state that day against some mindless thugs who where just hell bent on causing harm and destruction.
The way to beat the exploitation of the planet and of its citizens is by direct democracy in the workplace and the localities - but attacking the most offensive symbols of capitlaism doesn't hurt. Do both, meet people, organise!
The same as marching about with placards peacefully. It was opposition to the summit in a confrontational way, with the (highly unlikely) goal being disruption of the meeting. The G8 represent the heads of the top capitalist country who increasingly work together to maintain the position and fuck the world more effectively.
I agree that anarchism is pretty much irrelevant to most people but the reality is that communism is seen as a more plausible solution then anarchism despite the fact that communism has had numerous failures where as anarchism has had some success. So I think anarchism should be continually promoted.
I seem to have offended you personally, where my aim is to highlight the fact that IMHO anarchist thought, dreams and rather unworkable utopian outlook is to my eyes at least, starting to look jaded, niave, out of touch and irrelevant to most modern peoples lives.
For example I have just moved form a crime ridden estate in south london, wherein despit my good intentions to help garnish an open deate about the issues that affected MOST folks
Well when you say that you "Sorta grew up", implying that being an anarchist is childish (while ignoring, of course, the many brilliant writers and speakers who are anarchists) and now you continue to insult my idealogy, I expect you to make a decent argument to defend yourself. And now look at you! Your copping out!
I think that if you were truly against violence in all it's forms, you would actually chose to be an anarchist. Remember, it's the state, with it's coercion and force, with it's wars and arms buildups, that is truly violent. If you were ever an anarchist, I think you would realize that.
Watching hippies get watered down by the police, music to my ears, candy to my eyes.

I'm not saying kill all Irish, I'm saying kill all commies. No matter what country they're in, commies should be made into fertilizer.
I hope the Garda beat the shit out of a few hundred of these morons.

There hasn't been a communist state ever. What you lived in was an authoritarian state, big difference there...
