  • Was the Violent Femmes song an homage to this one?

  • @nocookierestraint Which one?

  • @Bey0ndEpic Didn't the Violent Femmes have a song "Add it up"? I think they did. .. I could be misremembering.

  • Man... Every time I listen to this song I feel like picking up my guitar, plug it in and crack that amp...

There are only a couple of 'new' bands these days that give me that feeling... and those mostly origin from the 80's/90's...

It's time the people discover real music again... I'm pretty sure there are bands like these, but you won't hear them... shame really...

  • Thanks for uploading these!!! Kinks best album!!

  • I bought this on vinyl in '81. It still sounds great after all the years in between.

  • @soonertoad The kinks will always sound good c:

  • brilliant album. wish the younger generation could get a grip on how important the kinks are in music history.

  • @ILIKETHICKCHIX I wish they could get a grip on what qualifies as music and what doesn't lol

  • @Bey0ndEpic Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy them!

  • Chrissie Hyne sang background vocals on this track.

  • whats your guys website about..just a board for whatever? if so thats cool..just checked it out and couldnt make heads or tails of it so just curious if its more then that......long live the kinks!

  • @zackertack... Right now we are in the process of changing over to a mod and map site. Everything is a little hectic right now but hopefully we will get it squared away soon c:

  • I grew up with this..awesome.

  • Money can't cover up the fact you're getting older every day. Money can't disguise the _________ that give your lonliness away. Anyone care to fill in the blank? Cheers

  • @renotsecniv

    sad little eyes

  • simple is great

  • this song i love i am the other country but this song is great tanks for it

  • This entire album is my favorite Kinks album, thanks for clean cut.

  • That's Chrissy Hynde adding the Gucci, Gucci, Cartier, Cartier

Their next collaboration(besides baby Natalie Rae) wouldn't be until almost 30 years later: Postcards from London. That's a lot of water under the (Waterloo?) bridge....

  • Without the Kinks, there'd BE no punk. This album proves it -- they recycle all their garage band hooks from the 1960s and it blows a lot of Johnny Rotten come latelys out of the water.

  • 2:04

    Ahhhhhh

Gucci, Gucci, Gucci, Gucci, Cartier, Cartier

Gucci, Gucci, Gucci, Gucci, Cartier, Cartier

  • Whenever someone mentions Gucci I think of this song lol

  • @Bey0ndEpic Me too!!! I've just got Gucci's sun glasses and now I can't get this song out of my head...

  • Next to London Calling..this is my fav album "ALL TIME"

  • this was one of the best Kink's song !!!

  • Absolutely!

  • I was age 15. This was my favorite record. None of the other kids understood me...

I never bought the record again and had all but forgot about until the other day, when I caught myself singing Art Lover while I was jogging in the park. (strange, but true)

    Thanks for posting these.

  • You should buy it again lol

  • good song better group !!!!

  • Great song better album :D

  • thanks for posting!I love this track and this album

  • I'm glad you enjoy it ^^
