Viper is hard to use. She has one of the worst normals, no good block strings, free on wake up, and has low health and stun. I hate to say this, but those crying for viper nerfs are scrubs and either haven't tried playing viper or doesn't know the match up. @lamjk10 Hard to use and bad or free are definitely two different things. I think she could use some tweaks as far as her actual inputs go, but aside from that, she's fine. The move quality is opinion since I think she has some of the best normals in the game, maybe not the best priority, but she has great normals, I use every button with her, unlike most characters who have some normals that are completely useless. I remembered Latif during late SSFIV days , Viper was somewhat balanced back then , I wouldn't deem her top tier back in the day , but in AE I think it's no question that she is top in AE , and in AE2k12 with the fraud nerfs , she still will be the same with just 20-40 point damage reduction which is nothing in the end . In fact she even got a buff to help the friendly players not drop U1 setups as often .

Viper hasn't been touched because she's not op. She's the only character that can actively cancel as much as she does, and if people can't deal with a bit of trickery, then that's their problem. Point being, she has a high skill level to be used efficiently, and she has many bad match-ups.

To be honest I'm getting sick of these matches with Latif flawlessing. No disrepect to Latif as his skill is real and has been evidenced offline many times, but I much prefer close games where losing the first round means you pick up your game and not fall for the same crouch-tech blow ups and crossups over and over. I much prefer seeing Latif sweat for his wins and not so much auto-piloting against people who don't know the match up.

@naruto50280 now in all honesty maeda tysons turtling and this rogs turtling is 2 different things this rog just sits there while maeda tyson walks uu to the corner and punishes any foolish movements made by the opponent. this form of turtling is not effective at all in high level play because as latif just proved...you cant just sit there and not expect to get double p'd on

ummmm i would beg to differ cuz this video is a prime example of why turtling is not a good strategy in high level play...it makes no sense cuz good players take advantage of turtles and treat them like scrubs but im guessing you've never played a top level player before n tried to turtle rite? a mobile character is harder to hit than a turtling character hence the reason why this rog got double p'd on

This balrog is ass like i mean totally...judging from this video any good player would know he lost cuz he is a turtle rog cuz any rushdown rog even a scrub would've landed at least chip damage on viper. this rog is the type to just sit there and spam dash str8 and force u to jump and do cr. fierce hence the reason why he got raped. this is why turtles never make it to top 8 in evo sitting there gets you nowhere smh...ps: this is the 1st time i've ever seen a viper double P on any rog

@TheKenso0 a pro way of turtling and a scrub way of turling is 2 different things; when a pro turtles he walks back n forth n sticks out normals and tries to bait out moves so the opponent can make stupid mistakes example? jwong, he never sits in 1 spot in any of his matches but people say he's a turtle rite? and then there is the scrub way which is just sitting there holding down back for the whole match and punishing jump ins with cr hp or try to catch them with a lucky cr hk for the knockdown
