i think byakuya loves rukia in a brotherly way. i mean you can't live with someone for decades without growing fond of them. byakuya is distant to rukia because she reminds him of hisana a lot. i don't really care for the byaruki pairing. i don't hate it. (and fyi they are not brother and sister so don't start screaming incest. -_- jeez, i hate when people do that.)
