Scientists believe there's a big chance of catastrophic result by the climate change. They believe there's small chance it may not happen. Nothing 100% in scientific world.
Prager believes it'll never happen, 100%. 100% belief exists only in religion.
So, who are really talking about religion here?
Environmentalists or Prager?
You can laugh at scientists if it doesn't happen. That's it.
Many people will die from food shortage caused by crop damage, possibly extinction, if it happens.
@allgoo19 As someone who's heard Dennis speak many times on this subject, he's never said 100%. You're confusing belief w/ faith. Even the religious don't make such guarantees. That's why they call it FAITH! Both sides have the potential to cost money, lives, etc., if wrong. We don't have endless funds. Every dollar spent needlessly spent on global warming (should it prove wrong) is a dollar that could have been spent elsewhere to save lives, property, etc.
To all conservatives, question about public transportation: Under what circumstances do you consider buses and trains to be an acceptable services to the people? I use public transportation and I am a conservative, I will be using it until I get a vehicle, but I will not hesitate to use the bus in the future if I need to. Is public transportation so unorganized that it sucks taxpayer's money instead of making money (or at least remain neutral)? There are many people who don't or can't drive.
@gospelnews123 Walking or biking is the cheapest mode of transportation. These modes are also the fastest when you consider the amount of time most people spend earning money for cars.
Public transit is much cheaper than personal automobiles. Too much taxpayer money goes to auto company bailouts, oil subsidies and road construction in support of the personal automobile industry. Public transit can be impractical in suburban and rural areas, however personal autos in these areas cost more too.
@pf611 I think there's a way to make the public transit profitable, I was taking a political stand on the matter. Most government agencies end up sucking money out of peoples pockets, in some cases it is obviously understandable, as in the case of roads; they are for all to share. But in the case of public transit, not everybody rides buses or trains, that's why those who don't think it's unfair to have to pay for someone else's services. Plus, who wants to ride a bike for 20 or 30 miles?
@pf611 You sound like a liberal, lol! Great corporations give jobs to people. I won't argue to defend the bail-outs, but I won't blame the whole capitalist world because the fallacies of the few. Bail-outs are good if corporations pay back quickly with interests. Greetings!!!
@gospelnews123 I'm not a liberal. If you believe in the free market, bailouts do not work. American automakers were allowed to transform the world into paved roads, benefitted from pro-oil governments around the world, outsourced american jobs and suppressed damaging information about their industry. After all that help, they made inefficient cars for which there was no demand, began losing money and were bailed out. Who cares about interest? They failed, they should not exist.
@pf611 Good points, but in this day and age it would be very difficult to imagine societies around the world on foot or bikes. Yea, American cars are cheap (as in quality) the Japanese have demonstrated good cars can be made, yes, even with Toyota's recent problems Japanese cars are a way better choice than Americans.
@wolfheinl funny... cuz the same people that talk about global warming now, were the same people that said , 30 years ago, that the population would be so great by 1990, that 4 billion people will die in famine. and said HIV/ AIDS would be spread heterosexually and not homosexually, and that said, by 2001, we will have completely run out of all zinc, copper, gas, and oil on earth. Because that all happened... just like global warming WILL happen... right? i mean you can't be wrong that much.....
Pipe lines do not create sustaining jobs, even for the construction workers. As to your statements re: environmentalism as a religion, well, thats a bunch of crap. In addition, your statements about global warming are factually incorrect.
@wolfheinl You need to be more specific. What's the reasoning and evidence behind your statement that pipelines do not create sustainable jobs? What's a sustainable job? As to your point on environmentalism, what do you mean by religion? You and Prager may not be defining the word in the same way. Finally, where is Prager factualy incorrect about global warming?
@crusky You have to love blanket accusations without giving any examples. Prager always gives examples on every subject and debate he does. Typical left response of using blanket statements without fact but claiming truth
@wolfheinl the pipeline itself would create many sustaining jobs, but its the dependable terrorist state free oil and the low energy prices that would create lots of jobs and a safer country with energy independence. anyone with at least an iq of 50 or higher realizes that.

Christians believe in Jesus 100%, don't they? Are they ready to change their mind if enough evidence presented?
Tell me, how much it'll cost to prepare for the disaster(mankind extinction)?

Has he ever talked about what the consequences if it happens?
If he hasn't, it's safe to assume he's 100% sure it won't happen.
