I wonder what the 'current' youngest person's age is that has activly sort this video out. My wife said she's been listening to it from the age of 10 and she has just turned 30.
Heavens to Murgatroid! This was a sheer delight to listen to! And loved those snazzy Queen Mary pics! KUDOS to all those involved! I've always loved this song! THANKS for posting this for us to enjoy! You've MADE my day & my week! :-)
If we each were able to design our own heaven, mine would certainly be dancing with my wife in the Queen Mary's grand ballroom with Benny Goodman on stage...
i've plyaing this video over and over since yesterday :)))). Can't be lovelier....such combination of talent and beauty.... Thxs so much for posting this! Cheers, Patricio
@vHumboldt77 As to the Normandie's end it's the most compounded stupidity of human error. Even today the Normandie would make the Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria look like hotels built on top of a hull. The Normandie was a ship of beautiful lines and profiles, she stood out amongst the rest. There will never be another one like her.
I saw in your channel by seeing Marilyn Monroe and now I see that you like ocean liners too. I love La Monroe, Jean Harlow and others--plus I have a passion for those ocean liners of yesteryears. This is magnificent tribute to the grand Queen Mary with music by Benny Goodman to boot! Excellent! Every chance I get I go to Long Beach and spend time walking the decks and of course eating at The Promenade Cafe. The magic of the Queen Mary of those years is still there.
@Emannt2 --I wish to go visit it some day. The only other luxury liner that can be compared to the Queen Mary is the Normandie...What a pity that it was gone in such a silly way, in NY's harbour, in 1942...it may have ended like this one, perhaps in the port of Cherbourg, visited by millions...
@vHumboldt77 Hopefully the Queen Mary will be there forever. People realized what a treasure she is. Ah, the Normandie was the ship to end all ships. It could never be compared. She was in a class by herself.
The Queen Mary was a throwback to the Berengaria and Aquitania, and that is why she was so popular. I have built 6 of my favorite ships from scratch as there are not kits. But using blue print and photos I have recreated a good facsimile. If you want to see some of them, let me know.
Great video, with some photos I've never seen. I like the music too. Congratulation! The RMS Queen Mary is still the most beautiful ocean liner for me.
What A Beautiful Video .... I grew up during this era ... even tho' this music and the people shown in your video 'belonged' to my parents generation we/their children grew to love the music and the 'stars' of their generation. You are to be commended for this video. Thank you for sharing and bringing back wonderful memories.
One of the most romantic tunes I know! This song is truely timeless and I bet the guys who can dance a decent slowfox have any girl melting in their arms...

Absolutely outstanding. Oh, how I wish I could cruise to England on it (her?) just like these photos, decor, clothes and music. Sigh...

Great video, great track. I wind my boys up, I saw both the Queens side by side at Southampton. When you're 3 years old it is a site to behold.

My Grandmother was a huge Benny Goodman fan. I enjoy listening to his music. It keeps my grandmother with me even still.
