You have pushed it further than most. I am trying to work up the nerve to do a full FPV flight in my Hexa. So far I have only taken off with my head tipped back looking under the goggles and then briefly looked through the goggles during flight. Just can't bring myself to fully commit. Did you have a hard time making the move to FPV the first time?
@assmunch1 I found FPV much easier then flying LOS. The first few flights were just hovering around a big open space. Then it just got easier each time, and found myself pushing it further and further. Its like anything...practice and you'll get there. Just find a big open space, away from people, cars and buildings...and go for it.
@juz70 Yeah, I know I need to. My partner in this venture has no flying experience, but she has been viewing all of the flights in FPV while I am flying LOS, so we know that the link is reliable, but although I have already done a shorter range test, we are going to do a longer one the next time. Not that I am planning on flying very far away, but I just want to know that it will continue to function. I have the EPI OSD, but haven't wired it up yet. I'll feel better if I have that going before.
@TeddyPie Yes it is easier to fly and it is more forgiving in a crash. The quad can manoeuvre very accurately and can fly in tight spaces. ITS WAY FUN =]
Hey juz how far do u reckon I could get with a stock setup with the specktrum radio (dx6i) and receiver?

@jaydensurfes if I had to guess, maybe 300-400 metres. Not sure. I use a ar7010 rx that has a satillite rx. gets me about 1km.

@juz70 ok if i got one could i bind my dx6i to that and would i get about 1km?
jaydensurfes 2 months ago
@jaydensurfes it would bind no problem. just not sure whether the dx6i and DSX9 have the same output power. Something for you to google maybe.

@juz70 so what would be a good transmitter to use?
jaydensurfes 2 months ago
@jaydensurfes I can only comment on what I use. So I can only reccommend a DSX9.

Awesome mate. The view from above the clouds looks great. Maybe you should do a flight upstream from PB to your place... aye aye?!

Perfect clouds for that! I've never managed to get through a thick layer of clouds, punched quite a few like that though!
