  • shit

  • Try that while I'm throwing 285lb power blows to your cranium old man- lol

  • @GeneticallySuperior1 Have a go at him man :P

  • @foteee123 The very first rule my instructor ever taught me was to "never fight just to fight" unless for competition , self defense , Ect ... If it were found that I used my training to cause harm to anyone outside of these two acceptions i'de be immediately asked to turn my belts over & i'de basically be ex-communicated from the club... As far as this old man goes- ummm ahhhh i'de like to think 15yrs of training & my youth would prove superior, but if weapons were involved he'd probably win

  • everyone in russia knows how to do this before they're born XD

  • coolios....but what does that pressure point do other than cause pain?

  • @TheLadyOuran

you can also use certain points to heal the body...accu-puncture is one example...

  • Guys, dont mock him, he could fuck you up!!

  • about 96% of what

  • lol its hitlers dad xD

  • Before being critical , try to understand that these techniques will obviously not always work on everyone. This is why you train in a variety of different techniques.

It is amazing how many experts come out of the walls and start being critical of everything they see on here.

  • 90% of what will what ?

  • 100kest viewer! xd

  • i dun like ths old guy cause i think he's kids abuser

damm ! he's so lier about everything its all demos

Stop fk calimg thngs nd stop using lil childeren

  • @geniusO2 I dun think you know how to express yourself very well. I suggest you might need some psychiatric help also.

  • @Ronin6575 i saw some guy looks like him in movie he was abusing kids !! ur totally dumb-ass, besides he is fake ( as i already stated

  • @geniusO2 Look dumb butt, I know Rick and he is definitely not fake nor is he an abuser. Besides that, I am not a dumb ass. Although some people probably think I am. It is easy to criticize people but harder to prove your point. Why don't you put your own video on here and allow us to see what you can do. The way you express yourself only tells me that you are immature and uneducated!

  • @geniusO2 In reading over your comments again, I am guessing that you have probably failed every class you have taken in school....assuming you are a kid and still in school. If not, I feel more sorry for you,

  • @geniusO2 what a brain cell you turned out to be !

  • I'm pretty skeptical of "pressure point martial arts" but i dunno, you might be able to apply some of this. Like in BJJ when someone grabs your collar for a choke, you could probably use this to fuck with their wrist.

  • dmn it worked

  • Having trained with Prof Clark I can 100% guarentee that his method works and if you tried to "smash" him like

flinch below says then you would be on the floor with Prof Clark standing over you.

  • For those unwilling to accept pressure point striking, as a viable method of self-defense, it can be used be used as such and it works. It is a method of directly striking points of the body, meant to temporarily paralyze that body, not simply smashing it, on the way to another target. Tai Chi (supreme energy fist) is an internal martial art, often practiced for health, but which, does have practical self-defense applications, but it does not, as far as I know, teach pressure points.

  • tai chi has no credibility as a self defense ,the only kung fu method worth a bollox is san shou but thats just shootboxing by a different name.If ye dont spar full contact all ranges then it dont work, outside pre emptive shots.

  • I am afraid you are mistaken. I have had personal experience, where Tai Chi in self defense is concerned and it is fully credible and viable. Martial art is martial art and all forms of boxing, wrestling, striking, throws, weapons and pressure point strikes, fall under this category

  • all martial arts are not equal, most are rubbish for combat purposes. Its not so much the techniques that are poor but the training method is useless,eg compliance, kata, forms etc. that accounts for nearly all traditional arts.Proper sparring shows what works immediately

  • If you notice, I used the term martial art, as a collective term, not martial arts. There is, in my mind at least, distinctive difference. The former name is one name for all the different facets, of what I refer to as a "diamond. The latter name, is one that divides the diamond, so that people can differentiate about what is better. Some facets lost their lustre with time, but martial art is martial art, despite combat effectiveness.

  • Furthermore, kata are forms, which contained the meaning and intent of the techniques and are not necessarily useless, especially if you do not desire combat. Kata are like school. You can be given the information, but you need to do the homework, to understand the information and retain it. Kata are the homework

  • How can you say Tai Chi has no credibility as self defence, where do you think Dim Mak originated from?

  • dim mak is a joke in case yer not being sarcastic

  • @lpundr1, your kidding right?

  • Typical overweight has been wearing a 'Masters' belt... Pressure Points work just because you smash them on the way to smashing your attacker. I'd like to see these done on a non-compliant opponent!!!! And who is the bald guy?

  • I had a seminar with him!!=]

  • yes, its called dim mak

  • Dim Mak is not a style in its self yet a group of pressure points

  • I wonder if there is a name for the martial art where you just exploit an opponents pressure points. Seen it in a lot of fiction, but no name.

  • Legend has it, that Taiji was created to disguise the fact, that its founder was basically teaching dim mak techniques.

But Taiji is so old, that there are many legends about it. It's hard to discover even a shred of truth.

    Bottom line:

If you are so superior to your opponent, that you can attack his pressure points unresisted, you don't need them anymore. You can toy with him until he sees his attacks are pointless or just knock him out.

  • So its called Taiji?

  • Chinese phonetics are very dificult to reproduce in latin letters.

The old Wade-Giles system wrote it as T'ai Chi ch'üan. Spelling it as Tai Chi originates from that system, which is fairly inaccurate.

The more accurate Pinyin system spells it as tàijíquán. While English phonetics cover the taiji quite well, they do not contain the phoneme quán (fist). If you speak German or French, the syllable would sound like KÜN(ger) or CUNE(fr, as in the word aucune).

  • But please keep in mind, that Hanyu or Mandarin only became the official chinese language, when Mao took over. There are various languages spoken in China and there are dialects. So actual pronounciation varies a lot.

If you haven't learned german or french from a young age and English is your first language, chances are you won't be able to pronounce KÜN/KUEN or AUCUNE correctly.

You might even be unable to realize, you are mispronouncing it.(like the famous R and L thing)

    Greetings,

    Squiddy

  • I don't know what the lanagague course was for...

But you're saying its Tai Chi? (I know what Tai chi is). Tai Chi has never taught me pressure points to attack people, rather its a form of meditation, relaxation and helpful to relax bodies. I've seen various styles of kung fu paralyze people's bodies, but I don't think it was tai chi (see crouching tiger hidden dragon)

I'm tryign to figure out the name of the pressure point martial art.

  • Sorry about that. I thought you had asked about the pronounciation, so I got a bit enthusiastic.

    a) Taiji being taught purely as a form of meditation and health activity is nice, but not true taijiquan. If a practicioner only emphasizes on the health aspect, his form will develop flaws. The relaxation of the body helps to evade an attack rather than block it as in the harder wushu styles.

  • b) The style in crouching tiger is called wudang fighting stile.

The fighting style in the monestaries at mount wudang is Taijiquan. Watch the scene, where Li Mu Bai practices with his sword and compare it to the chen style sword form.

If you really want to learn it, just take a book about accupuncture or anatomy, and figure out some nerve nodes.

  • c) But again: Witout the ability to strike hard and accurate and overcome your opponent's defense, you won't be able to hit the points. If you have these abilities, you won't require the points.

There is a reason these techniques are not being taught to everyone, who watches too much TV.

    d) There is no chi magic. Learning to hit the solarplexus and throat is something, that is a part of many martial arts. It's basic Dim Mak. Every martial art contains Dim Mak.

  • I'm quite sure acupuncture and what not is real, but if Tai chi pressure points to paralyze a person or possibly kill them were real, I think they could easily be utilized in the UFC/MMA industry.. I always considered it more or less a fictional thing. I don't watch TV too much, but I am an advent martial artist and I've trained in dozens of them. But I was always wondering if the pressure point - paralyzing art had a name to it. And I'm wel aware there is no chi magic.

  • Prof Clarke is a nice guy - met him a few times in the UK....but the pressure points stuff he teaches is nonsense. Try them on someone who actually doesn't feel like complying and see how effective they are.

  • I've actually had the honour of learning some of these pressure points fighting techniques demonstrated by Orofessor Rick Clark himself when he came down to London, UK a few years back, the techniques are very effective, they are real and Prof Clark has mastered them to perfection, I have seen him make black-belt tae kwon do teachers half his age, wince in pain and agony and to him it was a walk in the park. He was also recruited by the CIA at one stage aswell to train agents.

  • prof clark has an implanted defibrillator in his chest he is also 60 this year.

that he can still get guys much younger and fitter to drop using kyusho is only a credit to his training methods.

oh and your a ninja LOL !!!

  • If you want to learn how to use pressure points (de Mystified) that are real with no BS no touch junk that you can verify yourself safely then look on my channel (Kyusho 1), o yes I'm also not fat! This is not spam I just want people to see the real stuff!

  • so not being fat make you better than others?

    ain't you a peach

  • if u want to see some awesome pressure points type fighting1die

  • wow this guy looks scary, would not want to meat him in a dark alley. or he could directly grab my rist and run his finger down my arm untile he finds the noch in my rist and then directly uses not his thumb, but the side of his them to press and rub acrros my arm bone.. hmm i dunno but im pretty sure while all this was happening i could punch him several times in the jaw

  • he means that when ur already going for the wrist instead of just grabbing it use the bony part of ur thumb in that aproximate location (on this particular pressure point u don't have to be very precise) and it will hurt more which may surprise ur attacker, it's nothing spectacular but it's a tiny little thinh that could still help

  • Ha ha, I'm pretty sure I could break him in half.

  • Don't judge a martial artist by his appearance. Just because he doesn't look intimidating doesn't mean he's easy to defeat or can't fend for himself. Even a tough looking guy might not know any martial arts at all so that a smaller guy who is actually well-trained can beat him up.

  • LOL - yea, watch out for some non-lethal looking women too!

  • in the back of the neck theres a pressure point that if you hit it you leave the target unconcious, i know how to do it, its awesome!

  • i learnd that to!!:) my teacher put me unconshuis :'(

  • if there any where on the net where i can learn all this?

  • the best way to learn it is from a martial artist instructor

  • i have about 4 different ones, and my dads a black belt, none of them know any really cool or deadly ones as far as i know or that theyr willingto share, where else can i learn some?

  • Chances are if they don't know them, they don't need to or they don't work with a martial arts style that uses them, or if they do know them and aren't telling its because they don't think you are ready to learn them.

  • fair enough,id guess they dont know them, ive been doing for quite a while, but thanks alot none the less.

  • Aye mate, Its the same where I am, your taught what you need to know and nothing more. Its a fair system. Best of luck in your journey!

  • thanks,you too. =]

  • i prefer the one under the chin or above the nipple (though that one could kill so it's not always very practical in a fight unless the guy's got a knife)

  • hahaha

  • i prefer a 9mm

  • so does prof clark!

  • who ever

  • That hurts!

  • HOLY SHIT THAT HURTS!!! I just did it... omfg.

  • haha thats awesome

  • i did it to myslefand umm OWW!

  • there is another very good pressure point that I know. It's called the nose. The trick is to punch it with your fist. And what's fun its that it still hurts after you touched it!!!

  • You speak as though you regularly punch people, but you sound as though you have never been in a fight in your life.

  • lol,cool

  • Yeah I did fight I was a boxer !

  • @23rdMarineCommandos

Speak softly, yet carry a big stick.

  • haha

  • patirce well ken can do that because unlike people out there he's superior. he can use more than 30% possibly more than 100%. ken owns all. even though ken looks like ryu and shin looks like ken. haha. although i think fist of the north store older than street fighter.

  • hokuto-no-ken, the fist of the north star, makes people explode using pressure points ;)

  • thats an anime, not real life retard

  • that was a JOKE, hence the ;) at the end...

    retard...

  • that was a joke, looks like i forgot to laugh

    ha ha ha

  • apparently you didn't forget to laugh, there was a "ha ha ha" at the end

  • hi

i am one of mr.clark students since 1990 and now i live in saudi arabi all his work is wounderfull and works very well for self defence. you should try to be knocked out from him hahahah

    mamoon hasham

  • however some ppl r born immune to them and some ppl they just don't work on after a while. like my friends, i used pp on them so many timed, they built up somewhat of a resistance, and some ppl r trained to resist them (avoid ppl with military and police force parentage), well anyway, this is all my opinion so u can go by it or not, i hope this has encouraged some of u hopefuls out there. try finding actual pp and chi meridan charts next time >_<

  • any good martial artist can always adapt and pps are a total trump card, but they take a while to master, don't get discouraged if you tried them on yourself or a friend and they dont work. different ppl suffer different effects. ive found that thicker ppl (fat, husky, even muscular) are less effected by them and that skinny ppl are basically destroyed by them due to less mass and vunerability due to this to vital areas of their body,

  • adrenalinde soes play to some factore, but if you know the body's human anatomy you can strike just as well as holding or pressing a pressure point (pp), which, is easier, less dangerous in a fight for you, and can result with deadlier effects, not that i'm telling you to go out and start striking people with the crap you find on the internet.

  • Can you use pressure points on yourself?

  • Yea...to an extent. Rofl Then again its like tikkling yourself. Nearly impossible. Rofl. Try it. There ya go! rofl jk

  • Yes, Hit yourself in the neck and see what happens.

  • I recently attended one of Professor Clarke's clinics, and I observed that being able to use pressure points to your advantage in a fight can be a very valuable skill. Even a soft strike to the right spot can numb limbs or knock a person out. Knowing where the points are will not necessarily guarantee a win, but you will multiply the effectiveness of your techniques.

  • 90% of the time you will be able punch the throat it maybe a different angle but you will be able to hit it, but again in a fight, when adreneline is pumping, people will not feel pressure points

  • why not just punch, closed fisted straight to the throat? that way you dont have to locate anything

  • Becuse you may not have that option. What if you go for a throat strike & miss? Having these skills can only ever be veiwed as an advantage.Pressure points are a valuble addition to any fighters arsenel.

  • i found the pressure point on my body that hes talkin about, but i cant seem to cause severe enough pain for it to be worth while...

  • This is why (among MANY other traditional techniqes)pressure points aren't allowed in the UFC.

  • it is used to weed out the fake bullshit like this crap, no human would feel this when there adrenaline is pumping.

  • And you would know this how? I know many pepole that have used such points sucsessfully in live situations. Some are more effective than others.Try making a fist & (useing the the fingers of the folded fist) appliying strong pressure to the side & to the centre of the head, directly inwards with your fist at a diagonal angle to the head.Remember, UFC is a sport, pepole dont want to see obscure techniqes - they want flashy kicks & blood.

  • cqc in the military that is how i would know this.they tried all sorts of bs and nothing would work. It is just like shot it does not hurt, and you cant tell me that pressing a certain area is worse then getting shot.

  • Getting shot? What are you talking about? I refeer to a bouncer friend of mine who employs pressure points regularly.Of course the effect varies from person to person, as do rections to getting punced, kicked, choked & shot.According to your logic, if something does not have a uniform effect it is not worth learning, wich explains why you know so little.

  • It is good to see this has stirred up a debate! I think the answer is that people use techniques differently. I have seen Rick perform these pressure points on 2nd dan black belts and cause them to be totally immobilised. As part of a complete self-defence system they canot be ignored but you need a complete artillery to back them up. As a tool for improving the accuracy of your technique, they are unbeatable too.

  • what am i talking about, simple when you have an adreneline rush, you will not feel pain or not to the full extend, when you get into a fight you will have an adreneline rush, you cant argue that, therefore you will not feel the pressure point

  • True, in a life or death fight you could get stabed & bearly notice, but pressure points are VERY usful for controling & subdueing a leeser opponent.Just becuse most points are not leathal dose not mean the are not worth learning.

  • Heres one you might like, take your index & middle fingers & place them on the side of the wind pipe. Now slide them verticaly until you reach the jaw. There is a dip at the top of the wind pipe.Place pressure inwards towards the centre of the head & skywards at a roughly 45 degree angle. This is a point I WOULD use in a life or death fight.

  • I'm the guy Rick's using as assistant. I used Pressure Points a lot when I was in the Specials (volunteer Police if you're not from the UK). Most times they worked well enough to get what I wanted, when they didn't I just had to adapt. The whole point of what we do however is ... you must have a good enough delivery system that if you don't get the point it doesn't matter, you've still smacked them hard and at a vulnerable area.

  • Not all pressure points hurt however (rather, the point of hitting them isn't for the pain per se). You can deaden muscle (like the dead leg) or even get a knockout (side of the neck, stranglehold etc) by either raising the blood pressure or sealing the blood. Neither hurt that much, but they do the job nicely.

  • i've just went to four seminars with prof clark in the last week and found this point very useful for turning the attacker to your outside. letting you attack them from the back or side.

  • That point is called yuhl gyul hyul in romanized korean. We use it in many kuk sool techniques.

  • i just did that to mfself to test it and it felt like my hand was on fire ouch!

  • I tried using that pressure point on myself and it really worked, but maybe it's because I'm skinny. Interesting.

  • This was great fun filming and we're very pleased with the result. Summersdale are a great company to work with.
