@rhythmtraders ALRIGHT! thats what I love to hear my friends! I absolutely LOVE this drummer as well. Whats his name? I really love Funk drumming like this.
@rhythmtraders Check out the song "Transistor" by 311 As Well....Very odd time signature and its VERY offbeat....And if you are REALLY willing to expand your horizons, look at Abe Cunningham from the Deftones.....If you can handle the heavier sound, his drumming is actually VERY funk influenced and Jazz influenced.....
I'm too far away to ever but if I could I would in a split second! I love your teachers at rhytmtraders because they're not only left field unknown masters but also give a new vision of drumming. They show that rhythm repertoires is far from exhausted. Very refreshing!
Delicious snare, I just loooooove african rhythms cause they're gutsy grooves, so musical! I played with a few master drummers from west africa, they floor than blow me away.
Annoh is no joke! Very strong player. He is one of the teachers here at the Traders so we are lucky to hear him almost daily. Feel free to give us a call if you are in town and set up a lesson with him. I bet he can show you a thing or two!!!
What are the hihats in this video?
The open sound is amazing!
Israel is one of my new favorites btw.

oh my... ohhhh... mmyyyy...... dude, i think i found my reason for living. Is he trained? or is this 100% natural groove? either way, i loved it

Both. He is self taught but he is also studied. He takes the best of both worlds and it shows in his playing.
