I'm a musician, and I can tell you that this man sings from a raw vulnerable place that most people don't even allow themselves to exist in. He is magic. This music is real, and powerful... So very much more than, "okay."

If you've ever seen an interview or been to a show of Ray's you'll notice he's very quiet and soft spoken, doesn't really move a lot - it's such a sharp contrast to when he performs and sings! He's loud, and into it and really feeling it!

This might just be my opinion, but i think that Ray Lamontagne, James Blunt, Damien Rice, John Mclaughin and James Morrison all have really similar voices?...They would be awesome if they all joined up lol =P

I don't think you can realistically compare LaMontagne to the likes of Blunt, Rice etc, don't get me wrong all are very talented but LaMontagne is in an entire league of his own his voice is so distinguishable and so god damn sexy need I say more!!

He is an incredible singer, but all of the above, (Blunt, Morrison ect) Are all very successful... And they do all have very veyr unique voices...But the singer which sounds most like him, would probably be james morrison...But I prefer LaMontagne to Morrison =]

He does sound sexy but that dosen't mean a direct link to sex - lot's of things are sexy and sexy is good, so rather than trying to demean an opinion perhaps you ought to keep your twisted thoughts private. Don't bother to reply you are a waste of space.

Ok, so we don't agree on this and you see my comment as something pointed against YOU. Then you're missing the point of my "twisted thoughts". My point is that you should acknowledge musicians/artists for their abilites within their field, not for being sexy, rich, goodhearted, blessed by the pope etc. It's all about RESPECT as I see it.

For instance I really like Alanis Morissette and I think she is a beautiful woman, but I wouldn't dream of calling her "hot" or "sexy". I have too much respect for her as an artist and human being to reduce her to a sexual "object"!

A person's attraction is subjective. I find Ray to be incredibly attractive-- but thats just my taste. There is no wrong in that, love. It doesn't reduce him to a sexual object either-- its in our nature. I think my boyfriend is sexy but that doesn't reduce him to a sexual object. Hes the love of my life.
