  • Many thanks to his highness Norwegicus The Third.

  • SUE!!!

  • a good ep would have been one of hyacinth's birthday.

  • That Postman just cracks me up. It's worth watching every episode to see his reactions.

  • I think this is the first time I've ever really heard Daddy speak....Wow

  • I wonder when was the last time they actually had intercourse. I wonder how Richard would have got it if he knew that was his last time.....LOL

I mean guy really had to turn all those urges off........Poor Richard. But have to admire his integrity to Love, Accept and Endure her, AND REMAIN FAITHFUL.........RICHARD IS MY HERO!

  • @newone123100 Absolutely. Richard the LIONHEART.

  • Heavans above,Daddy get more than a one word line!!

  • Hyacinth is so cute at the beginning of this episode. The fact that she gets so excited about her anniversary, just shows how much she loves Richard, despite being a nag!

  • its first time iv heard daddy speak

  • Hyacinth is behaving so strangely at the start of this episode..her voice sounds more bizarre than usual..."Do i hear full English breakfast?"

  • hahahah yesss i love this show

  • hyacinth may be uptight but she has a kind heart when it comes to her family and what not.

  • I'd love to have a cup of tea with Hyacinth. LOL.

  • That's the most I have ever heard Daddy talk lol! And the scenes with Daisy and Onslow are some of my favs =). Daisy is so lovey-dovey towards Onslow lol.

  • Hyacinth is so scary when she's happy o.o

  • lol lol lol lol

  • hyacinth's a snobby uptight bitch- but that's what makes her so funny.

  • @subtle59 i wouldnt call her a bitch, but your right about the rest

  • Why don't Dasiy. Onslow and Rose have jobs?

  • Yay, I like this one! I'm going to watch the next part in which she goes to Elizabeth, "RER RER RER RER!" like an alarm & waves the meat tenderizer. =)

  • I'm British and I drink tea quite alot, but in moderation of course. I'm proud of the fact that I don't drink coffee unlike the American's who drink buckets full of it everyday.

  • Beautiful episode! Greetings from Montenegro!

  • i live in uk and i drink coffee i don't drink tea

  • I would like to go to one of hyacinths candle light suppers -- just so I could fart loudly and savour the horrified look on her face.

  • Wow daddy speaks!!!!!!

  • Isn't surprising that the English drink tea in the morning? I thought they'd drink coffee like many other nations. Interesting!!!

  • No not really. Everyone knows the English drink more tea than coffee. People in the UK always drink tea. Indians, Australians, and many other nations drink tea more than coffee because of the English.

  • @ssg279

nah actually we are all addicted to coffee it only the posh people who have tea. us ordinary people just drink coffee :)

  • @annie10103 tea is more health for the body. its got nothing to do with being posh or anything. most of asia drinks tea. heck more and more americans are drinking tea now because of its health benefits. :-)

  • @ssg279

    :) u sure told me!

  • Comment removed

  • almost always tea in the morning, the English drink a LOT of tea.We do drink coffee just not usually in vast quantities.Mid morning is often coffee time,as seen by Hyacinth always inviting Elizabeth around for coffee in the morning lol

  • @burnleyfan11965 i agree! my mum drinks tea about 5 times a day. :-) I <3 tea!

  • @ssg279 had about 8/9 mugs of tea today.thats about normal for me.No coffee today though lol

  • @raybari Nope No, just your nation.

  • Hyacinth sounds like and reminds me of how Daisy makes over Onslo!

  • could anybody write what rose says in minute 7 about Poland? i dont entirely understand that sentence

  • ".. going to see some red-head in poland" Meaning the guy went off with someone else

  • @rooxia89 Her "Mr Whatsit" is going back to a redhead in Poland. He changed his mind about marrying Rose.

  • Good old Hyacinth. For the first ten minutes of this epsiode, she mostly comes across as a very nice lady.

  • My ex-mother-in-law is living proff that mrs bucket exists...well it's an offence to the poor mrs bucket im sure!

  • Seriously, I don't think it can be that hard to remember to pronounce "Bucket" as "Boo-kay"...especially after she corrects them so many times.

  • If you live in Georgia you can watch this show every Saturday evening around 7pm or 8pm on P.B.S.

You have to admit that Hyancith is a very classy lady, and she obviously has morals and values, though some of her practices are extreme.

  • Hyacinth has no real morals and her values consist of what she thinks "the best people" would do; that's the whole point and what makes it funny. She's clearly the best equipped to take in their elderly father, but she won't, because he spills and drops crumbs. She fawns over anyone with even a minor title, regardless of how detestable they are, but won't publicly acknowledge her own family, who are good people, but poor. And she will trample anyone and do anything to get what she wants.

  • talk about a dark tone loll.... its all true tho

  • @Hagar7 thing is you only have to look at her with Elizabeths brother, she thinks he got a thing about her but in reality he cant stand her.Shes so determined to get away from her family background she doesnt realise she alienates everyone.its the fact she annoys everyone even the "best people" and has no idea thats the funny bit

  • I think season 5 would be my favourite out of the entire comedy, because it brings out the other characters that hardly say anything like violet and daddy. Nice :)

  • @acking Perhaps he had one of those fits that are called "temporary insanity" in court.

  • It makes you wonder...

Why in god's name did Richard marry her in the first place?

  • Perhaps he lacked "direction".

  • Love is blind. :)

  • He probably tried to say no but ended up walking down the aisle with her

  • @Wolfy203

i dont maybe he was drunk!

  • @Wolfy203

Yeah. Poor, poor Richard. He must have knocked her up or something lol.

  • @Wolfy203 Besause Richard is passive and not independent. men like that need a strong, ruling woman by their side.

  • @Wolfy203

she was pregnant when they got married

  • @Wolfy203

she was pregnant when they got married!!!

  • @Wolfy203 I'll bet Hyacinth was ok when she was young, then she got the idea she was "high society." My stepmother was a lot like her. She was in competition with her sister, Mary, as to how impressive their houses were. When Mary saw my stepmother's and Dad's house on Hilton Head, Mary of course built a bigger version of it by a mountain lake in Virginia. Then came Mary's Mercedes as a response to the Cadillac. On and on....

  • @Wolfy203 Strange you ask that in THIS episode!

Perhaps you missed the beginning . . .

We all wondered every now and then I would say.

But when you watch till 2.17 you should know!!!

  • @Wolfy203 i dont think she was like that years ago,she no doubt lived with the rest of her family, then she married Richard who had a decent job and bought a house and the whole thing went to her head.

  • @burnleyfan11965 yes and you can imagine her having good qualities of energy, ambition and positive attitude which just became intolerable when they were cranked up to the nth...and perhaps Richard tolerated it at first because it flattered him a little too.

  • @Wolfy203 well she might not have been so bad if she was only toned down about 50 times. Gotta love that kind of enthusiasm. And she would have been attractive when she was young. It's the way some people reach a certain age and all their traits become so exaggerated they turn into caricatures of themselves.

  • @Wolfy203 He was obviously bullied into it. :-)

  • @Wolfy203

exactly I bet she decided to marry him and he had no choice she never listens.

  • i know she is so funny and this uploader rocks i hav subscribed nd got all my mates to too!xxx:)

  • "little bossy" ur confusing him with yourself, hyacinth

  • this show is a rich vein of profound silliness and it crax me up unlike well nigh anything, o my good god

  • same here

  • Here as well : > )

  • same here.

  • i love this show I wish It was on more often....

  • Its SOOOOOOOOOOO RARE that Daddy Talks.
