@klimkoska Our dogs are from a shelter in Michigan and of mixed breeds. We often take our friend's dogs, who are a black lab and border collie. I think most dogs naturally enjoy running and we try and make the experience fun for the dogs. Training with a bike has been very helpful at keeping the dogs out front. We motivate with food, praise, laughter and other positive treats.
I use a tape measure to find a length, then just cut the webbing and sew! Usually the result doesn't fit very well, so I cut it apart and try again. After making over two dozen harnesses for Cricket, I finally have one that seems to fit ok. BTW, I think all dogs are oddly built! Sometimes we evaluate the fit of a harness by comparing exercise times, as a dog not getting enough air also takes longer to run the daily course.
Thanks, we love endorsements by dogs! We have been practicing daily with the dogs pulling bikes since last winter. It's lots of fun and exciting as often our dogs pull us too fast!
I find it magical being pulled along by a dog. The experience is enchanting and addicting. I hope you get to experience it for yourself. It feels like alpine skiing deep powder combined with skipping on the tips of wave crests when the windsurfer hits planing velocity!
Oh yes we race, check out our channel! :-) Come on out to Winnipeg next year! We have a super friendly race

You all got some races coming up this year?

We haven't done any racing, but the dogs seem to run extra fast if they smell other dogs ahead. Do you race?

Where do you get your patterns to make all your own equipment? I have a dog who is oddly built so it's hard to find fitting gear!

Whoa! 3 Dogs now! The first shot was amazing. They were going so fast I was wondering if someone was filming from a snowmobile!.

Our dog Cricket was pulling me nicely, so I could ski along looking backwards and hold the camera. Cricket is great about staying on the trail.
