@bawinunsang It's a reverb (echo) effect on the mic, not auto-tune. But I agree that it's unnecessary since Isaac's voice is amazing raw. PBS Soundstage does that with all musicians.

I heard this song for the first time a little over a year ago, and words can't describe how much this one single, simple song has changed my life. @eghustla yeah I noticed that to. It's either because of the echo effect or theres a tad of auto tune going on. I'm pretty sure its auto tune but ya gotta remember they had been on tour a very long time at this point as he said so his voice was probably really lacking. Hence auto tune.

Agree, very Sigur Rós-ish at the climax end with cymbals going bananas. Reminds of song-endings like Popplagid and Ný Batteri. But that in itself is a symbol of major quality. This song gives me the chills, in a good way. It is sentimental and melancholic, yet uplifting and good for the soul. Absolutely one of the best songs I've heard in a long time! And if you've read some of Fyodor Dostoyevskiys work and quotes - this makes perfect sense

Love this performance!! Quite possibly my favorite liver version of this song! There's no auto-tune involved. You can tell because there are a couple pitchy spots. For example, at 6:10 when he says, "home," he is noticably sharp, but he slides down to the right note.
