  • this is david coverdale right

  • @ragnarock919 it's turner...i think slaves and masters album was the only one to feature turner as the lead vocals...could be wrong...but this is definitely turner's voice.

  • Best DP album

  • I didn't really care too much for Deep Purple until I was introduced to this Album!! I LOVE IT!!

  • This is sellout rainbow.

  • This is such an underrated album. Fuck the music critics, they're all full of shit.

  • What year was this Album released in? I see it for the first time in my life! :-/

  • @danielnewmanmk "Slave And Masters" was released in October 1990. First and last album from Deep Purlple with Joe Lynn Tuner as lead vocalist.

  • Great song!

  • I hated JLT in Rainbow. Hate him in DP. Hate him hate him hate him. He's a moron and a generic, witless mook.

  • @TouchingYou You love him really. Otherwise you wouldn't have watched this

  • @TouchingYou I agree, Rainbow is so much better with Dio, and DP with Gillan. JLT got that typic 80's voice sounding that I don't like.

  • Such an underrated LP...'though being an early fan of the band, I really liked this one..

  • Great song, retarded lyrics.

  • Rock solid AOR tune, but for Deep Purple....it is sub par.

  • Awesome track!

  • I like this record...dp my farvorite band...yesh

  • Honestly...I love this album. AOR purple? Yes... melodic hard rock played by genius... I was Deep Purple fan since years ago, love Machine Head, Burn, Come taste the band, Purpendicular...and of course Slaves and Masters. I prefer this record than the last with Gillan!!!

  • had it on tape

    smashed it, was pretty awful

  • I don't like Gillan's voice.

Joe Lynn Turner's got a great voice. better than gillan.

Gillan just sings like a girl. JLT has got the real rock sound!.

Slaves & Masters is a great album, one of the best DP albums. In my opinion,,,;)

  • @DonMario1992

You're not right man Gillan is one of the bests;) fuck JLT he is not for DP :)

  • Ritchie loves JLT. Blackmore even considers this album one the best DP albums ever lol.

  • Doesn't matter what anyone says, But Blackmore was always 50 percent of DP just on his own, everyone else was 50 percent combined. Shit when he left DP to make Rainbow he still could have called it DP and most of the Purple fans would have acknowledged it. I like Ian Gillan, David Coverdale, Jon Lord but even though their contributions to DP were vital, they still did not add up to Blackmore's contributions.

  • @Mrwhitedog You could look Richie as the best musician of the band (I disagree seeing Lord's performances) and the main contributor to DP, but you don't understand the band's facts:

Blackmore kicked out to Rod Evans (He pressed the whole band for that) and later he forced to Gillan to quit twice.

Blackmore is a great guitarist, but the band was tired of his egocentric ways, specially for stated that S&M is one of the best works ignoring classics as In Rock and Machine Head.

    KARMA WORKED ON HIM.

  • As a long purple fan, ive always avoided listening to this coz my dad said it didnt count as Deep Purple. He was correct...my goodness

  • Deep Purple today is very good band. I enjoy listening to them and see their concerts.

As to different Marks they all have highlights and bring something fresh.

Joe is good front man who made his own steps, Ian Gillan is the ultimate Deep Purple front man.

  • This is shit bu it's funny

  • this sounds more like a "Rainbow", but it is much better than those who call themselves these days call Deep Purple

  • I love this sound DEEP RAINBOW...great better than Call DEEP PURPLE now...

  • awesome!

  • Unless these are slightly 'sarky' comments, you're both wrong. It is DP. It was by Mark V (89-92) and DP's 13th studio album (see Gillan91's info!). Used to like it, but it hasn't aged too well in my opinion.

  • i was being sarcastic -- which doesnt translate well as text. i agree with your opinion/

  • This is not Deep Purple, but Blackmore's Lynn Turner
