pop the car in N and pull over as safely as possible. Don't just turn the car off because you'll loose your power brakes and power steering. Not to mention the column might lock. plus I just read Toyotas with push button ignitions take up to 3.5 secs of holding the button down to actually turn the car off ( a safety feature so a simple bump wont cut the power off and cause you to crash) oops!! Something that is being completely overlooked is THAT CHRYSLER ALSO HAS THE SAME PROBLEM that has been happening for years. I have two videos on it and was just contacted by someone in a newer Dodge RAM that accelerated full throttle on its own and crashed into a pole. Chrysler won't even investigate the issue!
