Patch Parables 3 - The Parable of the Raft

great example, and great interpretation, however, i saw something totally different with the meaning of the raft. but to be fair, my view came from a different perspective.

i saw this story as answering the meaning of lfe, and our physical bodies as it pertains to the experince of life. the raft is our physical body. it is meant to help us get to the better shore, not by enriching the experience of our transit too much so, or by hanging on to it. its purpose is for use as adaquate transport.

The specific example of the book at the end relates directly to me- I had finished reading 1984 by George Orwell, and I thought "Well, I got my enjoyment from the book, and the points for taking the test in English, so what now?"

I ended up giving it to a friend, who is now enjoying it himself. Also, I've recently gifted crystals to friends who wanted some, and so far my dad, a friend who is pessimistic, and a girl friend have all enjoyed them.

Why don't you make a parable using the symbolism of a building and how the higher you climb up the stairs the better view on life you have. The lower the state of mind you have the more everything around you looks terrible because that's how you interpret everything, the better the state of mind you have the more beautiful life you see. I see climbing the build because when you are at a low level you only get to see the basement but when you climb those stairs you have a much more amazing view.

I see something very different about this parable. When the boy crossed the river with his raft and let his raft on the bright sight, so everybody, who wants to cross over too, see it. It may be a bit selfish idea. Maybe there is no problem at all and he makes it up.

I liked this one, it was well done and not cheesy or a bit odd IMO like the first two. :) I like this style of teaching, to the point and not telling people way to much how amazing they are, I think that it would be cool if you want to bring people up with that style if you made separate video's for it instead of making it so that some people don't want to watch something that they can learn allot from IMO. I hope this helps!
