This is going to be like enigmo. The monkeys could be the droppers, the toucans could be the tanks, the bananas and coconuts could be the water, lava, or oil ( for enigmo 2 it would be like the lasers and plasma), and the bongos could be like the puzzle pieces.
@syxne There are Enigmo elements in there, but the game is really nothing like Enigmo. It's closer to a mix of Angry Birds and Fragger than Enigmo. The only real Enigmo-like element are the bongos which act like the drums in Enigmo, but those are only on some of the levels.
This game sounds like another great idea from the brains of Pangea. It's good to explore new things. Sorry to say Otto Matic and Bugdom fans but there would be an Otto Matic if Pangea started to work on stuff besides Bugdom and nanosaur. Same goes for Billy Frontier. In fact i might have a suggestion for a game if you have the time to listen to it.
i would recommend creating a new video of quite a few people playing it, enjoying it, but keep it short so that the people will want to know more and see more (send it to friends on facebook, let them send it to more people). Set up facebook groups with links to new trailers, video footage and links to your website if you have one so they can get more info, maybe introduce Posters around your area (cinemas, advertising boards, parks, malls) with QR codes linking to videos, pictures, web.
I like the Enigmo element of the bongos! Also try sending Kotaku a review code, if they like the game they will write an article that will find its way to many users.
I still would enjoy a Power Pete port to iOS btw ;)
Really impressive work Pangea, i think your gonna do really well with this game, once the game is released i would recommend making a viral video for Facebook to raise awareness as soon as it has been approved.
@wackyjk17 Thanks! We've got a lot riding on the success of this one, so I hope it does well. Any suggestions on how we get a video actually go viral?
Looks really cool! Nice to see something new done with the slingshot-esque control scheme used throughout many iPhone games, which I was starting to get a bit sick of until I saw this. Also love the monkey animations too!
How many levels are you aiming to have when the game's complete? And what's the price looking to be?
@Pocketim There are 50 levels total. 5 Areas (Jungle, Desert, Arctic, Zoo, and City) which have 10 levels each. We're alpha right now, and expect to be beta in a week. Should be GM within a week from that. We'll end up releasing it at $0.99, but the regular price is still TBD.
It definitely looks great.
