Having seen this band in concert so many times and reading the comments I can say that while Steve Clark was a very good guitarist he had many demons he was dealing with. And as far as Vivian Campbell goes....he was an excellent replacement, he is also a fantastic guitarist!!

It's not a bad song, but I remember in the 90's when this came out, I had officially considered myself done with Def Leppard. They had completely abandoned their experimental rock sound in favor of a more mainstream approach.

I love both versions of this song by Def Leppard, on Retro-active !!!!! I still get a buzz when I think about their concert I saw, back in the early '90's, when Adrenalize was released. Those blistering guitar solo's, and earth-pounding drum solo's/ intro's !!!! Mate, what a night, I'll never forget !!!!!

@DefLeppard981 It makes me cry too, because it reminds me how badly Def Leppard strayed in the wrong direction and faded away too soon without Steve Clark in the fold. They tried riding the success of Hysteria by copying its softer side. They used to really ROCK back in the day. Steve was the one who came up with truly original riffs and solos. Their lyrics often lacked but that was okay due to their guitar work. They became so whimpy they might as well have become a boy band. A shame.

@elfhermie I agree with you exactly. Even though Def Leppard is my life right now, most of their songs after Hysteria are pretty bad. Some of the bad ones are on Adrenalize and Euphoria and Yeah! and Songs From The Sparkle Lounge (Who came up with that name?) . But no one can EVER replace Steve Clark because he was so wild and had such a different style than Vivian Campbell and Phil Collen. I remember Mutt Lange once said that Steve's guitar style was sloppy, while the others were technical.
