  • That was clean , not late maybe the top of the shoulder but get over it.. GO GO BLACK'NGOLD!

  • Legal but Dirty...IMO

Dirtier than Rome...Elbow to the head.

  • Legal but Dirty...IMO

  • As a die hard Leaf fan, I have no problem with this hit. This is just a beautiful, clean, hard check.

  • a small high sticking...the stick was at his shoulders

  • @MrDigan123

I still haven't seen the high stick either.

  • I like how Chara rag dolls Komiserak at 0:30

  • @dsmith6289

This is Chara we are talking about. When you are as big as that SOB, you can almost rag doll anyone.

  • @dmellis98 He is also a very accomplished wrestler to add to his size a nasty combo. I am just glad he is a Bruin!

  • @dsmith6289

I am aware of that fact. I also like how during the scrum, he immediately went after the biggest Leaf on the ice. Unfortunately, what he did to Max Pacioretty, this will be one of the few songs of praise I will be giving Chara.

Side note, I know he did not intend to hurt him as much as he did, but he intended to knock him out of that one game against Montreal.

  • Shoulder to shoulder, wasn't high. Less than a second after Stajan played the puck, wasn't late. Stayed on his feet til AFTER the hit, didn't jump.

Such a great hit. If you don't think so, it's because you're a Leafs fan and are embarrassed

  • I wish it was Kessel

  • same as Scott Stevens on Paul Kariya

  • That's elbow pad straight to the head.

It's not dirty by the book because he had his arms tucked, but that's a shitty, disrespectful play. Boychuk has always been a bit of a bitch.

  • Comment removed

  • @jimih64 His elbows are tucked in, Stajan is leaning forward. What is Boychuck supposed to do, shrink? Stick to watching the Wings cause you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @ripelcannon I never said it was dirty, did I?

My point is that it's gutless and disrespectful. You're obviously fucking retarded if you can't see that.

  • @jimih64 Wow, go watch figure skating if you can't stand watching a player take a hit. I can smell your pussy from here, I think it's time to use a douche, you ass

  • @ripelcannon Wow, go watch UFC if you're too goddamn stupid to understand why intentional headshots are dangerous and detrimental to the game.

    smfh, you ignorant fuck.

  • @jimih64 Yeeup, it's definitely time for your douching. You should keep regular on that, you might make a friend

  • @ripelcannon Hahaha typical cockwrangling hardass wannabe.

  • Fucking TRAIN

  • I could watch this all day, but u gotta love Kaberle giving him a suicide pass and then going after boychuk hit him lol

  • head up or not, there's no way of avoiding the hit

  • That's ma boy Johnny!!!!!!

  • That can be call late but it's a clean hit.

  • beautiful hit.. all shoulder. dude has his head down deserved it

  • completely clean.

Stajan got caught breaking the #1 rule. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP

  • Clean hit. Kaberle's fault though, not Stajans. Suicide passes get your own teammates in trouble...

  • clean, he didnt lift his elbow stajan skated right into it, stajan deserved that hit, head up kid

  • Clean what you guys are smokingI want some. The first part of his body to make contact was his elbow right in the face he swing also to be sure the elbow does as much damage as it could. I mean he punch him with his elbow in the face. omg some people here are retards or bruins fans

  • @HiggsPat

its called height difference you stupid Canuck.

His elbows were tucked to his sides the entire time, its not Boychuk's fault that Stajan is so damn short

  • Clean hit omg some are either fans or retards. since when an elbow right in the face is legal and clean. that is a cheapshot. It's another of those hit the guy gos high he hit with the elbow and he has to propulse all his body like a spear. that is typical dirty hit to hurt

  • Looks to me like the elbow was used to deliver the hit.

  • @hockey6467

    someone needs some glasses, eh?

  • @hockey6467 go on, argue with Chara about it. No, really, go on.

  • @MonsterEnergey73 I can honestly say I didn't watch any part of the Stanley Cup Finals live and I couldn't have cared less who won. But, even though 29 teams go home doesn't mean they're magically even for the year. And don't think I'm putting down the Blackhawks, they had a good season and put together a great playoffs so they deserve bragging rights. That also means the Bruins do deserve bragging rights over every team they finished above too, so hop off, your not even a leafs fan.

  • Maybe a clean, but Leafs are way better than Bruins.

  • @MrNumberNine9 screw you we actually made it to the playoffs while you havent been to the playoffs in 4or5 years

  • @MrNumberNine9 so true, leafs ended last in the conference while the Bruins went to round 2, also the leafs only gave up their round 1 pick for 2010 which gave the Bruins Seguin and also gave up their round 1 pick for next year, ya the leafs are way better then the bruins... I hope you were being sarcastic.

  • BOOM

  • Chara's like "Komisarek, I'm 6'10...do you really want me to get involved?"

  • Look at Chara picking Komisarek like a bag of garbage!!! Priceless lol

  • Beautiful, Clean Hit.

Leafs fans don't deserve to complain-clean hit, worst team you don't have to take a great hit and pretend it's dirty just because you haven't been # 1 in the North-East since 1999 and you don't even get a good 2010 draft pick for being that bad.

Also Komisarek seems to get his ass kicked against the Bruins wherever he goes. It fits how he went to the Maple Leafs last year.

I'm sorry you poor Leaf fans who haven't made stupid comments I really pity you.

  • @acaprenicus agreed ... maple leafs suck so bad ... maybe they will do better now that Dion phanuf on there team and as captain ... dion is just an amazing hitter

  • @acaprenicus Not a leafs fan, but noone gives a fuck where you finish in the regular season..

  • @MonsterEnergy73 So it doesnt matter if youre 6th (PLAYOFFS) or 15th (GOLF)? Make a valid point, Dick.

  • @acaprenicus So what you are saying is we should have trophies for not winning a Stanley Cup, but coming in 6th? In the end both teams were sent golfing. Therefore my valid point in noone cares about the team that didnt win a stanley cup. But if you'd like, I will send every single Bruin a medallion saying "Congradulation on 6th place". And will also send every leaf one as well. Saying " Congradulations on the head start on the green". Sound good?

  • @acaprenicus its was a clean hit but his D was an idiot for putting him in that position with that suicide pass

  • @ottawaskating True, buddy pass.

  • @acaprenicus lol so true, why do people even like the Leafs? They are complete trash

  • @acaprenicus im not a fan of either team ( despise both) but are you saying bruins fans havent ever called a dirty hit clean? chara pacioretty for one, the one just a few days ago on crosby, the raymond boychuk hit. the bruins are dirty, even don cherry didnt feel satisfied when the bruins won the cup cause they played too damn dirty

  • @gnrisinmyblood1 you have to be shitting me, Crosby "hit" was dirty? LOL. bro watch it again in slow-mo (check Dafoomie's channel) and there is a difference between playing dirty and playing 'chippy'. I assume your a fan of hockey so I would assume that you already knew that, but i guess not

  • @acaprenicus are you saying it was clean? are you backing up chara, a man who abuses his body size to harm others, are you saying boyhcuk soming ever so close to paralyzing mason raymond was clean?

the only way you can be so idiotic is if you are an american or you dont watch hockey

ps: i dont hate the bruins, in fact i used to be a huge fan of them till they began playing dirty...not "chippy" as you call it

  • @gnrisinmyblood1 yes I am saying it is clean. yes i am backing up chara, yes Boychuck's 'hit' was a case of finishing a check. By the way I never brought those points up but ok.

Yes i'm american and yes i watch a lot of hockey.

are you by chance a european hockey fan or entered in any non-check hockey leagues?

p.s. - I understand the points you're trying to make and respectfully disagree with most of them.

  • @acaprenicus

That was worse than the Rome hit and you call it clean? Typical knuckle dragging boston fan.

  • its clean 4 sure.... i dont even think boychuk meant to hit him that hard... he didnt even really load up for it.. just stood him up.. thats not even stajans fault either ... the defensemen hug him out to dry with that pass.. stajan was just tryin to play it the best he could

  • he jumped and the elbow hit the head!!

  • Comment removed

  • lol 1:22 owned!!!!

  • Yo jkennedy try telling stajan to keep his fucking head up because he just got told! Btw bruins are better than the leafs

  • Haha does komasarik rly think he can take chara?? Haha

  • youtube search my name for boychuk's hit on matt ellis of the sabres

  • 0:32 failll

  • Komisarek is such a little bitch. Acting like he could actually do anything to Chara. Hahaha

  • hahaha ohh God poor lil leafs you suckkk leafs gooo Bruinsss!

  • Boychuk dats my dude you da man

  • keep your head up or that will happen i have don that to so many people because of suicide passes

  • ha ha ha ha Komisarek is a joke, he's only tough when there's a zebra in front of him.

  • nice, clean hiy

  • it was a head shot but besides that it was clean, nice hit

  • clean hit should of kept his head up

  • @Macandcheese234 So should've Horton

  • THAT right there was just an unfortunate play for stage, no prob

  • Clean hit end of story. Johnny's arms were down the whole time, feet never left the ground, shoulder contact only. Stajan had his head down, in the nhl if you are traveling through the neutral zone with puck with your head down, you better believe you are gonna get rocked. It's called hockey.

  • I was the elbow area that hit him, but his arms were down so its not dirty. If anything Kaberle is a dumbass for feeding a suicide pass..

  • Exactly, very well put

  • Hey Matt did you get the plate number of that truck that just destroyed you? It was 55 as Johnny "killer" Boychuk!

  • that was a nice hit. slightly dirty but totally badass. it should not be a suspension...

  • Why do refs always protect cowards like Komisarek? Let him have it.

  • Seriously, Komisarek needs to get destroyed by Lucic again!

  • It should be a yearly thing.

  • @cragmac1000 Lucic will be too busy running away from colton orr

  • Clean hit, the announcers are a little bit dumb, his visor cut him, no head shot, no elbow, no jump

people are so critical nowadays on penalties, if an elbow comes up a little its considered dirty, unless your team does it. and elbow penalty is for a BLATENT elbow, not anything like this

  • From the first look I saw, look like he left his feet, but then I watch it and his left foot never left the ice.

  • @clicknudiez273 stupid slut

  • clean solid hit. dont skate with your fucking head down.

  • no elbow, no head hunting.. just lowered the shoulder nice big green light hit 100% CLEAN.... boston needed some livening up that game anyway

  • Youtube sucks, they keep deleting all the videos of me doing ballet naked.

  • Many less guys in the 60s, 70s, and 80s got run over like many of the guys do today. This is solely because the players are so worried about stick handling and flying around the neutral zone, they skate with their head down. Anyone who has played hockey knows this is not an elbow or a cheap hit by any means. Hockey is a rough sport, and these young guys in the league need to keep their heads up. We don't need to amend the rules to suit this new boring style of pass-less boring hockey.

  • 100% clean.

  • Does anyone have a gif of this beautiful hit?

  • clean hit...bad touch on a bad pass and forgot about the defender coming to the puck..why should boychuk let off because he made the pass? At the blueline you better keep your head up..figure it out..he cant expect a free pass from there. Looks like Stajan was gonna cut to the crease for the pass and got a f'n mallet in the face...not a dirty hit at all.. can't blame a guy for stepping up on d especially on a talented guy like Stajan....please..no jump, no elbow...tough hockey...go isles

  • there was an elbow. but it was a clean hit.

    penilty yes suspension NO

  • his arm was by his waist...thats no elbow..if it comes up after the hit its perfectly legal..i dont like seeing guys get wrecked like that but give him some credit for a hard hit...

  • the pass is the problem...stajan was looking out over his shoulder to play the puck, not even considering a hit. you put your head down in the neutral zone...your gonna get hit. ask RJ Umberger how that works. thats a harsh hit but a clean one. he left his feet after the contact, not for the contact. elbow...no. shoulder...yes. nice hit...i would say the players will take care of this, opposed to any fine or suspension.

  • clean hit or not, guys that continue to do these kindda hits are gonna get killed one day, straight to the ambulance

  • the NHL has got to do something about those fucking hits to the head man

  • It was pretty clean despite the forearm to the face, not a perfect body check but nice results

  • oh that was soooo clean. beautiful hit. he came off his feet after contact. no jump. no elbow. CLEAN.

  • Ya he did jump more of a elbow too but that was a nice hit

  • dirty, he jumped.

  • Fuck I am glad other people are thinking this was a clean hit as well. Hockey is not a head down sport, your gonna get crushed if you do so.

  • cmon man, he flew like superman on him

  • his feet never left ice...watch his left foot..

  • after collision is alright to leave your feet. you cant keep your feet on the ground after colliding with someone at the angle he did...no penalty

  • beautiful and clean hit

  • Kudos to Kaberle for showing some balls though

  • Leafs fan here (converted mind you from the Jets) but that was a clean hit all the way. Stajan keep you fucking head up

  • Why people saying it was dirty? It was a clean hit, he didn't leave his feat, he didn't elbow the guy, it wasn't a head shot? Clean hit, you can't play hockey with your head down.

  • dirty... dirty............ dirty .....dirty

  • i wouldn't call the hit diry, it was a suicide pass, stajan had his head down and boychuk caught him. It wasn't completely clean, but it wasn't dirty.

Props to Stajan man, coming back after that... Most players would have sat in the dressing room for the remainder of the period. He's not weak, like people say he is. He may not throw big hits or be good at fighting, but he gets up after massive hits and plays like nothing happened. He's got heart.

  • Comment removed

  • lol its even worse because it was on his birthday wow that was a huge hit

  • holy fuck is chara intimidating

  • 2 minutes penalty for that is not enough

  • Kaberle won't be getting a christmas card from Stajan this year.

  • elbow right in the face! this it not a clean hit for sure!

  • GOD i LOVE hockey man XD the game its self and all the fighting ^_^

  • suicide pass. NOT BOYCHUKS FAULT holy..

  • He got his shoulder up a tad high, but this is definitely not a suspension or game misconduct. Maybe a double minor at most, but I don't think he had any intent on injuring Stajan

  • haha if you skate away at full speed after a hit cuz you know you're gonna get rushed, it's a bad hit

  • Right... I'm sure it had nothing to do with Kessel having the puck in the zone. Clean hit.

  • If you're a defenseman who is now out of position because of a big hit, then you skate away at full speed, you don't sit there and watch the guy collect his teeth.

    Great hit.

  • looks like a clean hit... but u do see some contact to the head at 1:30

  • Suicide pass by Kaberle. I'm pretty sure he apologized. Stajan is a beast for getting back on the ice after that. Don't get it twisted. Stajan is a heart and soul player. See stats for details, you blind Leaf hating fucks.

  • pack a lunch stajan. your a bigger joke than the leafs

  • Leafs are garbage

  • I was at this game and i could hear the hit from my seat!

  • All you boston fans bashing on here, it was indeed a clean hit. The elbow shouldn't have been where it was, but boychuk's intent wasn't to smash him in the face. All you need to do is look at the final score. Nuff said.

  • God damn.

That was a clean hit alright, but the dirtiest I've ever seen.

  • Keep your head up son! Ha Ha!

  • Boychuk read the play well, just wasn't centered with Stajan, nice hit but glad to see Stajan get up, should have been a charging call, but didn't really matter since the Leafs still won

  • as clean as can be

  • I was at that game, he almost broke his eye

  • Clean. At the time contact was initiated, Boychuk's feet were on the ground.

  • i'm a leafer and i can say that it was clean, i don't like it, and it looked like it hurt... a lot, but it was clean

  • im curious about that little jump he has. it was kinda dumb.. the guy was in the air when he hit stajan, if he was still on his feet, after the hit, then it would be a clean hit. but since he was in the air.. i dunno.

  • yeaa toronto, 2-0. type 87ryanc on youtube and it is funny shit, comment rate and sub

  • Clean hit, size difference was why the elbow was near his head. Coulda been alot worse if Boychuck wanted to make it worse.

  • clean, maybe 2 mins elbowing depending on the ref but ya stajan and kaberle have to see that hit coming is all

  • komisarek needs to stop trying to fight. he's a good guy but just stop trying to act tough. if a kid like lucic could fuck you up twice in one year then why even start with chara. also the hit was clean and i am a leafs fan.

  • i can't believe so many people think this is clean. boychuck's elbow hit stajan. this should be a penalty even in the old nhl. the number of strides boychuck took is fair, hitting him in the face is fair (if he did it with the shoulder or gloves), and leaving his feet as he connected is also fair, but elbowing isn't..... 2 minutes for elbowing, at the very least.

  • im a leaf fan ..

and i think its a clean hit but it loooked like it he went off his feet but i think still its a clean hit .

  • awesomeeee hit.....Bruins ruleee

  • Clean hit... just a life reminder to Matt to not cruise through center ice with his head down...

  • arm's tucked in

  • It was clean, too bad that it had to be elbow on head first but totally clean.

  • he did not take too many strides he was gliding when he hit him. Skating at someone before he has the puck is called anticipation. Get a clue about the game before you talk about it.

Boychuk is the man. Go b's

  • If that's not clean, hockey sucks. Hockey doesn't suck, so that's clean.

  • TAKE A SEAT !!!!!!

  • I have been a Leafs fan since 1971 so I havea bias to the Leafs.

This was a clean check 100%. A good hit by the dman who was doing what he is paid to do, trained to do and he did it well. Sign him up.

    Do not sissify hockey.

  • @gklr I agree with you 100% man

  • @gklr its not a clean hit he was skating at stajan b4 he had the puck he took too many strides, it is a charging penalty

  • this is absolutely clean. he went in with shoulder, stayed on his feet before contact, and you can't say he took too many strides...there is not one single camera angle that shows more than two. Charging is at the discretion of the ref. It was a good non-call

  • @xznfgzx watch 1:13 he was already skating at stajan then he took two and hit him, so only a retard would say otherwise.

  • @rootbeer9000

right...that is not out of the rules one bit. Learn your hockey. Whether or not this is a charge due to him taking strides is not the question. The question is whether or not its a headshot. If every time a player skated at a person, took two strides, and hit, nearly every check would be a penalty

  • @xznfgzx are you kidding that is what a charge is look it up, i cant believe you would say something so stupid ahhahahah omg ur a joke, and if you think it isnt a headshot your fucking retarded, how would his face bleed if he wasnt hit there ahahaha your soo stupid :p

  • @xznfgzx just stop talking ur making urself look bad

  • look up the definition of charging according to the nhl. there is no distance required. no "number of strides". it is at the discretion of the ref. also, this hit is clean because stajan's face was low to the ground, therefore resulting in him bleeding. thats why the first thing you learn in hockey is to keep your head up. think what you want, but im sure dozens of people will agree with me that you are a dumbass. thanks

  • @xznfgzx take your own advice and look it up fucking GOOGLE it a charging penalty is taking more than 2 strides or your feet leaving to ground when u check, HE DID BOTH, again stop making yourself look even worse just give up you are wrong.

  • @ rootbeer9000 Did you even watch the video? Exactly when does he leave his feet? Have you ever even watched hockey?

  • @CairoBallista wow...... pause at 0:09 - 0:10 you fucking idiot think b4 u speal

  • @CairoBallista look at his legs they fly through the air ahah

  • @rootbeer9000 they fly through the air AFTER he hits him! If he had jumped before the check you'd have a case, but he didn't. It was also dangerously close to an elbow, but he kept it down enough. Good hard hit, glad to see that Stajan is ok though.

  • @CairoBallista

I don't know why people can't tell that when he makes contact his feet are on the ice. All they need to do it pause it.

But it's the internet and some people think they can never be wrong even when it's obvious they are. That's just the way it is I guess.

  • @PaleWhiteBoy Finally somebody else with a pair of eyes!

  • @CairoBallista 1:38 Have you ever watched hockey!?

  • You can keep talking all you want, his feet are clearly on the ice until after he makes contact. Again, if you don't like clean hard hits, don't watch hockey. Colin Campbell has a hard on for disciplining Bruins players, so I'm sure if it wasn't legal he would've done something about it. No call on the ice, no discipline after. It was a perfectly good hit.... Also, Stajan has a knack for playing with his head down. Look up Wideman leveling him last year...

  • Why am i arguingwith idiots? He jumped at him thats why is feet were in the air. The replays show it. Thats it, over, you lose dipshit

  • You're right, it is pointless to argue with idiots.... Pause it @ 1:22, Boychuk's right foot barely even leaves the ice. That's a hell of a jump if you ask me. More like his feet came up a little because he made an open ice hit, which tends to throw off your balance. Again, if you don't like hits go watch soccer and all of their pussy diving.

  • Ummm...

The the first point of contact his feet are on the ice. After that his one foot barely comes off the ice and the other goes up much higher and he falls forward.

It isn't hard to follow it's right there. maybe you should watch it again before you proclaim yourself as the one who knows everything.

You can't argue that when the first contact is made his feet were off the ice. Try pausing it the moment they come in contact and you will see two feet on the ice.

  • He is being suspended. Its a head shot with the elbow

  • hes not getting suspended, hes playing tonight because it was a clean hit

  • ahaha look at kessel

  • FUCK BRUINS' FUCK CHARA!!!

  • hey greem5385... you need to pay attention because it is clearly his shoulder... and for all of the rest of you, if you really watched the video, you could see that boychuks feet wer kicked up, after he hit Stajan, he didnt jump
