I got a 2.2diesel Sport back in 2007 as a hired car for 3 months for work - originally they gave me a Peugeot 307 which was awful but anyways... This was a fantastic machine. Its the only diesel engined car I have ever driven which didn't feel like a diesel. So smooth and revved just like a petrol engine. Also the only diesel I've ever seen that actually needs a rev limiter! The car itself was also excellent, if a little stiff riding (no big deal really for me), and so beautifully built.

Honda in Europe are overpriced. Last year I bought a top of the line Accord 2 doors coupe 3.5 liter V6 for 31000 $CAD or 21700 Euro (1 $CAD = 0.70 EURO today). All included, taxes, everything, key in the hand. For the same price, the European barely have a base Civic. B&F Montreal, CANADA

@TheKito10 IF you tuned this bad boy though with an ECU Re-map you can get 190 BHP with a Tonne of Torque.... Plus this car isnt exactly designed to be FAST. If you want a FAST car buy a Bugatti Veyron.....

Well took the plunge and got one. 58 plate 2.2cdti EX. Practicaly the same as yours mate, but without the aftermarket alloys and the tinted windows. Had it a week and put quite a few miles on it already. Feel like ive been driving it for years already, and though the cockpit looks complicated, its actually very intuitive. The voice control over almost everything but the windows is a novel touch, if a little redundant, but its good for showing off. LOL

I have the same car, well built.. quiet engine, and if u use cruise control with speed of 100km/h on motorway, this baby only use 4 litter per 100km.(the board computer will show you 3.6 but is not correct).

and honda is the queitest diesel i ever droven. VW TDI, opel cdti etc are very noise compare to this honda i-ctdi(and they have less pk and torgue).

0-100km needs 8,6 (audi a3 2.0 TDI without chiptuning can only eat my dust)..

I have one of these, same colour except mine is the SE. The engine is superb and the dash layout is fantastic however the built quality is piss poor. The front is full of 'pinhead' stone chips, the paint is so thin it flakes off even after the tiniest of stone damage and the quality of the interior materials are a joke.

Very disappointed and not happy >:(

If you want a decent Honda diesel then get the Accord.

The diesel is actually the best model, or at least it was until the type-R came along, but that does nowhere near as much MPG, and this is still pretty swift for real-word performance, so its not as "stupid" as you think! Executive is just what Honda call it. In the UK we get S, SE, EX, ES, Type-S, Type-R.

This is just the Europe spec Civic, built here in the UK, but sold all over Europe. There are very popular over here, so there are plenty about, new and used. You may want to travel over to buy one from a European Honda dealer (not a UK one because all our stock will be RHD, of course you will want LHD). Also cars are still cheaper on the continent than in the UK. As for the importing side, I don't know what your country's processes and requirements are. You will have to check if it is viable.

No, I don't have any problems with navigation system from now... It's look nice to, audio system, car information... and so on... everything displayed on screen if you chose navigation system option, voice recognition system work without problems...

Yes diesels is fucking amazing. Now have my honda more power and torque. Only with software chip tuning (OBD2)(change turbo presure and disel ignition system) 410nm at 2100rpm and new max engine power is 191HP... ROCKET! :) (here in EU is very popular diesel engine tuning)

buddy, i know in the eu 200hp is fucking amazing for you guys. but in the us, its about average. i dont mean to rain on your parade, but my truck, is a 2005 Dodge 2500 Cummins turbo diesel. i bought for $17000.

it has 688hp and 1296 ftlbs of torque. when i take my truck to the track, i have to do my runs in 4 wheel lock up mode other wise i cant get the power to the ground.

Actually its not about the power but about the price. Diesel is quite cheap compared to Gasoline at the pump. Also the difference in price between a regular car and a diesel car is almost nothing (belgium). The only thing i don't like about it, is the sound.:p

This is HONDA CIVIC european version. Release only in EU. You can chose diesel (2.2 140HP) or gas engine (1.4, 1.8 140HP, and typeR 201HP).
