"Ghost" playing with Connor's Leap Frog toy

When I was little I had a toy bear that my uncle gave me at night when I got up it was on the floor in front of door glowing green I ran for my parents bed I wake them up they saw it and got up and turn the light on it was back on my bed they put it away and today I don't like

Started to see signs of a kid ghost in my apartment last summer.  I was doing setups on the floor and then the exercise machine's heavy seat started to rock. I actually saw a shadow of a kid on the wall stop and run the other way just before my kid came out of her room. It was like it had woke my daughter up. Now at night sometimes toys have been coming on that sing and play music. I've been in my apartment for 4 years.

I don't think toys are haunted. My baby is 8 months old, and some of the "high tech" toys such as leap frog, fisher price etc. go off all the time by their selves. Yes it's creepy though. When I get up in the middle of the night and walk into the living room to get water, and a toy that is a ball on a platform goes off constantly. I usually turn it completely off before bed. The creepy part is you have to hit the ball for it to go off.

I think that sometimes these things just glich.

@malakai1 i'm not a ghost so i cannot speak for it, maybe it never grew up? Also, i stated "ghost" as not sure and sounded like a reasonable reason to post this and let the world decide.

BTW, did i mention it was scary? no, but i did mention my dog was scared. Did i mention it was a baby ghost? no, you assumed. Maybe you should learn to read and interpret the description before you make a lame comment ;)

It didn't do it to often and i usually kicked it to make it stop as tended to happen in the morning when everyone else is still sleeping..

we have toys that do the same thng...we have a remote control toy buzz lightyear car...and it will start moving on it's own...we live out in the country, so it's not because we have neighbors with remotes that live close to us...we also have toys, like this one, that "play" on their own...it's real creepy when it goes off at around 12 am....makes you jump out of your skin...have you had any other issues like this in your house?

We have this toy and it went off last night at 2:30. It scared us to death. I knew it was prone to do that since friends I know have it. But it was still creepy and we thought it was a ghost.

I had a toy that did this too.. FInally we got rid of it it would go off at all hours of the night. We thought it was the cat for a while. Then one night while it was on top of the TV stand we heard it go off and the cat was in bed with us.

i had a haunted doll it was a pikachu when i made it read a book abnd lef it was sitting un top if the book when i put it in a cheast upside down it was standing right-side up i put it in the chest it couldn't get out and when i left and i turned my video game off when icame back the doll was on the ground next to the gamecube controller i lost the thing anyways.

Okay this has happened to me before.. when the batteries are low the toy will operate itself.. change the batteries and it will stop.. no ghost, just dying batteries!!

batteries were recently replaced and i tested them, there still good... it hasn't happened since but it could have been the batteries causing the random play. My dog did get scared during this and hide out under the table when normally he doesn't care if it plays, he even plays with it on occasion. In the end, we'll never know...just posted for friends to see for themselves.

I would love to believe that there is more to it than dying batteries.. I am fascinated by the whole subject. I have several videos with orbs and other odd things i have photographed, It would be fabulous if this was something unexplainable!

I've sent an email to Leap Frog to confirm if batteries could cause this or if they can shed some light on this occurrence. I'll post again once i have there reply. I'll also let you know if it does happen again. Thanx for the comments

I do know for a fact that this thing does happen with electronic toys when the batteries are low.. It has happened to me before, and there are several other videos here on youtube with the same thing in it, and tons of people that commented that it had happened to them too. I am not trying to doubt you or anything you may believe, simply pointing out the possibility! Please do not be offended!!

Down to the batteries, drool or unexplainable that caused it....and currently 2 votes for batteries...

i just think if it were batteries, it would have re-occurred at least once or more...and jkmk, no offense taken, i would rather find out the cause of this due to curiosity than let it be and if it is batteries...the Enigizer Bunny needs to be more courteous when i am eating dinner.

Well I hope they get back to you, but it is unlikely they will admit to a fault in one of their products! We had a little police car that would turn on itself when the batteries were dying, I got so frustrated with it I threw it out into the back yard in the middle of the night, then an hour later the polics knocked on my door because the neighbors complained of a strange noise! My problem was I couldnt find my tiny screwdriver to open the battery door!! so I understand about discourteoueness!

So no response from Leap Frog even though i got acknowledgment they got my question (3rd attempt) and would reply within 48-72 hours, that was over a week ago....so i guess that's there unofficial "ignore him and he'll go away" stance.

Anyways, hasn't happened since, but I've kept camera close by just in case...

Sorry to hear that they have not responded.. I supposed you could do a little test on your own. Run down the batteries very low and then see what happens, or put batteries in it that are dead mixed with some that are close to dead..

The Response:

Sometimes it helps to clean the battery compartment with a dry cotton swab or cloth. Rub the metal contacts inside the battery compartment to release any dust or film. Sometimes what can happen is a clear film can produce on the battery contacts and interfere with how the batteries power the system. You can also use an eraser to 'erase' and clean the contacts.

Clear film is the answer
