@Rowoches..... do you have the song that they sing talking about going away to a better place and crossing over to the other shore and never coming back no more? if you do please post. Been looking for that song
Thank you Rowoches for your dedication to all who enjoy your postings so much.. This music means the world to me as it uplifts my soul. The sheer joy that these Pastors felt in knowing Jesus is a lesson that I carry with me each and every day.
Rev Barnes and Rev Brown had the most beautiful singing voices together. What ever happend to her. I wish they would sing together again and make DVDs. Just to hear the two of them sing, has made a difference in so many people lives. No offense to the family, but no one can sing Rough Side of the Mountain and When it rains it pours like they could, Amen.
where can i get the cd ,one song i really like, just the other day they was burring a good friend of mine,i say well recon who they burring over there, they say dont you know it was a young man that joined your church just a few weeks ago,i say well i reckon what happened to him ?they say he just couldnt leave those drugs alone ;they found him dead right in his home ;it was an overdose thhats what drugs are doing.
Yeah, there is an album titled CAN'T YOU SEE, but I'm uncertain of whether 'morrsyboy' wanted the album this recording of "So Many Wonderful Things" comes from. This was just F.C. Barnes & Janice Brown in the early 80's. I believe the album is just titled "LIVE".
Yea both are alive and well here in NC...Rev. Barnes in Rocky Mt. pastors a church in Maple Hill, NC (Jamestowm lol) and Rev. Brown is in Comfort, NC pastoring....
Rev. Janice Brown, as I've been told, is still living, but you don't hear anything about her today. I was also told by a credible source that during the 1980's, on the day of a concert, there was a disagreement between Rev. F.C Barnes & Rev. Janice Brown, and that's what ended her tenure with him.

I don't think it has been released on CD, however, it's from their LIVE album.
Sorry to hear about your friend! How unfortunate. All the best to you, his family, & the church family.
