This is not just an American problem people. A law like this one will turn up where you live soon enough to add strength to the US based one. New Zealand was hit with a law like this a few months back and if you know anything about NZ law once they have it on the books they can then change it to fit the Governments needs. All they had to do was pass the basic one first.
