Am I the only one who thinks that the older Disney movies are the better ones? Seriously, this is one of the only movies where the villian's sidekick is not only adorable but deviously cute. I just dont think they make the new Disney movies with much character depth. Maybe I only think that because I grew up on many of them and read the books when I was young.........but Joanna is definatly my favorite baddie. Love Love Love the way the did her eyes! At the moment the only example I can think of is Treasure Planet. The antagonist is John Silver, the cyborg, and his sidekick is Morph, a shape-shifting alien. Although, I am not sure if Morph is male or female.

Think about it...he's a poacher, which pretty much makes him a criminal. He's pretty much operating on the fringe of society, trying to lie low. If he went and got himself a stove from a store, people would wonder where he's getting his money from...that could be traced to whoever he's selling the bits of the animals he's poaching to and he would end up being arrested...which is the LAST thing he wants.

Ah, the Disney Renaissance. All the stuff from these days gets me misty eyed. This was undoubtedly one of the funniest parts of any Disney movie I've ever seen.

And Mccleach just doesn't get enough recognition, he's one of the coolest disney villains ever. I mean, for christs sake, he interrogates a little kid by throwing knives at him! And tries to feed him to friggin crocodiles!
