I have a 2000 v6 mustang, its clean and reliable with 114k miles. I am considering doing an even trade for a 1998 Dakota r/t ext cab in the same condition with 140k miles.

Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. The deal is waiting on me to pull the trigger, I am mulling it over.

I really really wanna do something else with the exhaust but not sure. I was thinkin bout just eliminating the cat and sensors and just say "F" the engine light but idk yet. I just picked up a 92 dodge dakota 318 v8 5.2, 2wd, fast little truck but Im starting to have issues with it now and ive been trying to do my own self diognosis without having to spend money to have someone else not fix the problem, plus i want to learn how to work on my own shit. Problem is truck runs fine started up, goin down the road but when you get on the throttle, it gets that choked up sound in the exhaust and starts runnin like shit, whole truck starts to shake. any ideas what to do?

I have a question for anyone that can answer it I have 98 Dakota sport with the 3.9 and my take a long time to warm up and I heard that was normal for Dakotas and I was wondering if that was true or if I have to replace my thermostat.

@aaronbrackman17 I have owned three R/T Dakotas and they all take a long time to warm up, but be careful idling them. Once they get really warm, they don't cool down quick unless you get on the highway. I think that the water pumps are weak and the auxilary fan doesn't cut it. The factory guages aren't real accurate either. If you live in a cold climate and need to heat up quicker, I would drive around at low speeds with overdrive off or in fourth gear for a manual truck.

@TheCottonTop They should have made both regular and extended with an optional 5 speed. I like the length of the extended cab and it has room for subs.

I have to say that the truck looks good with the black on black, but that burn out is really WEAK. I have a similar drop, K&N and a magnaflow catback and I think mine sounds about the same. Im trying to get some video's of mine right now, but hard to find a camera person for me. Is that stock tune on the ECU, or did they down tune your ECU at the dealership? Also next time, try dropping to either 1st or 2nd gear to do your burnout.

They had left over paint from the body so they just quickly sprayed the wheels. Any good clean job and rattle can will work just fine though.

It is definitely stiffer but not so jarring that its a terrible drive. I like it better than stock because now it feels more sportier.

yeh thas the only thing i wish they did when they built the RT is put a lil sturdier suspension and a lil lower then normal..jus to give it a little bit of edge. but yeah im not sure if ima go with the belltech ..but DJM another suspension comp. has a good deal on 2/3 drop i think theres is like 369.99 ..how much was the belltechs?

Coils were 124 and 2 leafs were 230 so 354 total. DJMs are drop shackles so you reuse your stock leafs. I wanted new leafs so I went the Belltech route.
