The biggest problem with inexperience is the person can't deal with surprises and there is a lot of them when you are president.

Many felt that being part of this administration for the first couple of years ruined his credibility. Obama said that if elected, he himself would, within his first year, meet with leaders of Iran. Powell was talking about conservations, diplomacy via envoys and ambassadors, which is a position much more similar to Hillary's.
