I love the oldies from the 70's and the 80's. I wish that there were more chicks like me. I know horror and all of it's subgenres like the back of my hand. I do love Hostel II for the cast. the first hostel was actually kinda disturbing and scary. gore doesn't scare me, but just the thought of being drugged thousands of miles away from home and waking up in a cold dark torture chamber is pretty scary. when i see a movie i want to be scared so i dont know why people even bother watching horror movies if they claim that nothing scares them. anyway, hostel II seemed more like a dark comedy to me and wasn't really scary at all...just nasty hehe. the first hostel had some eeriness.

I think Saw is a bit more of a thriller than Hostel. Hostel doesn't have much of a plot... really at all. It's just gore/torture.
