This is definitely one of my favorite riffs too. Though I prefer when they play it at 1:54 since it has vocals; the vocal and guitar parts mesh together well, also.

Then again, the part at 2:35 does have the riff being played at 3rds apart by each of the Amotts, which sounds nice.

Was watching stargate atlantis and got to season2, episode 7, which is called instinct. Remembered i had a song on my playlist called that by arch enemy and i just had to stop watching SG to listen to the song. Stumbled upon this vid on youtube and what can i say ?
