  • Do NOT buy a condo in Downtown Miami. Wait till 2009. The prices will drop by another 20-30% next year. This is buyers' market. So hold your breath and wait for the deals in 2009 and 2010. There is a joke going around Miami that many condo owners will be so tired of making monthly payments that they will go as far as saying "Here are the keys to my condo, take it free". The odds are that the condo owners in Miami will have to wait until 2020 to see their properties appreciate in value again.
