@yedon68 Thank you for the input, but I didn't refer to any dislike on either Tammy or David's part. I just feel they sang better together than George and Tammy. I don't expect everbody else to feel this way. That's just how I feel. :)
Tammy didn't complain about recording with David, she complained about his diva attitude when performing in concerts. Good thing David was that way though. Because of David's refusal to stick with the order of the songs, he left Tammy hanging one night, and George Jones heard about it (Tammy & David were the opening act for Jones) and filled in for David - the rest is history. George Jones & Tammy Wynette are the greatest duet act of all time -- no one can touch them, they're legendary.
Widow Cathy put all the money up her nose, N'ville don't need middleaged acts on coke/went back to Bossier City with David Jr, Broke & alone she got engaged to my dad, they tried to revive her career. He kicked her to the curb before the wedding. She overdoesed (aka brain hemorrage), jr went to the grandparents at 12 years old. probably in jail if they died off..He was spoiled rotten, worst kid I knew. as much as I LOVE "My Elusive Dreams" it is this song that should have been the hit. It conjures up images of the Loretta-Ernest Tubb duet, and shows echoes of what would come with George and Tammy.
Despite Wynette's complaining about recording with David, her best recordings are with him. I think David brought the best out in Tammy and Barbara Mandrell.
This is a song I never heard by David Houston and Tammy Wynette. Its great. JUDA59ful

David is fab, but nothing reaches the height of expression found in George&Tammy singing the songs 'One' and 'Ilusive dreams'.
David's recording of 'spirituals' which was astonishing has disappeared from the face of this earth.

These two together were the best. It is a shame they never did more songs together.

I have always felt that David Houston, sang with Tammy Wynette better than anybody else. This is one of my favorite albums.
