  • when doing a PI manifold swap, does it matter what kind of cylinder heads you have? i have a 97 cougar (same pre-99 engine that the mustang has) and i was wondering if i pulled a pi manifold from a post -01 mustang, towncar or crown vic from a junkyard if it would work...

  • @malleymyster it works but you need some RTV sealant to plug a coolant passage that isnt used by the PI manifold, along with a new coolant pipe running from your water pump along the block valley. Also be sure to use PI (2001) manifild gaskets. The ports from the heads to the manifold are lightly different, but doesnt pose an issue if you use the PI manifold gasket. consult a forum for more details. good luck if you havent done it, and if you have, tell us how it turned out.

  • this car is on the unoffical list of ultimate douchebag cars, along with pontiac grand prix's

  • iam selling my 1996 gt mustang for 1 dollar

  • Thats tight i got the flowmaster 40's also and the h-pipes. Did u have to bypass ur catalytic converter for ur pipes? cause i did...

Oh and u should get some new rims, but overall nice sound, mine sounds pretty much the same.

  • nice sound!!!!

  • mine looks better but this one will smoke mine if they were to race.

  • cool ride man it looks and sounds great i have one just like it 96 gt, and its even the same color as yours hey how hard was it to put the h pipe on? i was under my car looking at the stock h pipe and it looks like it gona be a bitch to take off any advice for me?thanks

  • @everettemetoyer actually swapping out the H-pipe is about as simple DIY exhaust project as it gets... just make sure the car is supported with jack stands.... better safe than sorry.

  • did u list every engine mod dat u did???? because im about to get a 96 stang myself and im not wasting any time to make it faster!!

  • Yes I did. Although, if you want, a good tire set up that I have now are Dunlop Straight Lined Tires for cornering on the front. They really help with the corners, and I would stick with Khumo Super Sports Soft compound on the back. They dont let the rear slip at all unless it is raining hard. Everything else is exact though. I would recomend upgrading to cobra disc brakes if possible. I have a hard time stoping.

  • Can you find this car for 4-5 000$ in the States in good shape?

  • yes you can a buddy of mine is selling a 96 mustang for only 1600

  • @cedneko trying to make a 96 mustang fast IS a waste of time.

  • look cole a faster stang than yours ..maybe you can get a date with him

  • i thinking about doing 16 0r 17 by 10.5 inch rear tires and a bunch of other stuff to mine.

  • great looking and sounding mustang. im from nc also randolph county. what county are you in?

  • hard to get traction huh! awesome video you drive like me!! i got a 96 gt with a host of add ons including 17x10 rear rims. it still will lay some rubber though.

  • Thanks man. It is hard to keep traction. I want some 1999 Cobra R Rims deep well 10.5 rear and 9 Front. Wrapped with M/T. Lotta money in that though. I would rather go for power for now. Lol. Working on a set of 66mm Twin Turbos. Combo with a GT40 set of ported and polished heads to go with it. Should be nice when I work out the kinks with the tune.

  • how much are the gt 40 heads?? i just got a 96 and i am going to put the pi heads in it... also do you know where i can get a good deal on a supercharger or turbo?? my cousins can do all the labor..i think...

  • sounds good
