  • @lostn65 She was a Girl, , but a tomboy

  • TMNT!!!

  • SPIN THAT WHEEL!

  • 1989-1990 I miss those times. I was only 9 and was soooo crazy about this song. My dad was havin' a hard time for a week to find a cassette tape of this song for my birthday.

  • everyone knows damb well u think of casey jones jumping a foot member to put work to get 2 splinter BONGGGGGGGG

  • Anyone knows how or where to get a clean, hi-fi "ooh yeah" sample? I wanna create a loop that sounds like early 90's house so me and my entourage of old fucks can dance to it 'till we die of dehydration...

  • @stuckinda8Os MasterSounds - Lyn Collins- Think about it - The original track with the samples... an early 70's funk... classic!!! ;)

  • i miss this style of rap/hip-hop. It's way better than the style of rap/hip-hop that is out now and that i hear at most clubs

  • @panteirra84 Shit, that's why I quit going out to clubs two years ago.

  • @panteirra84

Whats so wrong with "Jizz in my pants" or "Sweat drips off my balls"?

    Hahahahaha... =P

I'm kiddin ya... This stuff is Golden compared to this negative ass new shit...

  • @learrus The new type of rap/hip hop songs i find the most annoying is some of the ones that sound like nursery rhymes and almost like kid songs

  • turn upp the bass

  • Ha remember this was the theme song to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the movie. Fuck miss those days!!! LAB COAT KILLER I SEE you MF!!!

  • Why was I 1 when this came out instead of 18 to enjoy it.

  • M. Kamosi... uuhhhh...

  • Ha Ha Ha I smoke the mic like weed. that was the corniest line I ever heard. back i those days I hardly new how to speak or understand English.

  • 17 PEOPLE COULDNT SPIN THAT WHEEL

  • What a crackin beat

  • my god they look like total dorks

  • @antibulletdodger101 They didn't need to act all gangsta back then like they had something to prove.

  • @antibulletdodger101 But yet here we are playing the tune 22 years later - today you've got tracks with wall to wall booty and bling that won't be played in 22 weeks.

  • @eonetim wall to wall booty? ...where do i find this?

  • Was this track on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film?

  • Ya Kid K was awesome.

  • brings back great memories of elementary school

  • Do I love it ? Oh, yeah, do I want it ? Hell, yeah.

Do I really need it? Yes, indeed.

I smoke the mike like weed.

  • FUCKIN DOPE!

  • lol @ 1:23-1:29

  • Class tune! Loved it when it came out, and still sounds fresh 'n' upbeat today. Top post mea2005!

  • LOVE the Chuck D sample.

  • The second video was from the motion picture soundtrack TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

  • I had a huge "crush" on this chick back in 1989 & I was only 9 years old. She is one of the most popular female rappers from that late 80's early 90's era. Thumbs up ^.

  • I smoke the mic like weed..

  • @JLSPFOC and this was used in the first ninja turtles movie...a movie for kids lol

  • @rockerseven I had the soundtrack and they cut that part out.. lol :)

  • @rockerseven This hypes you up like speed..

  • This song wouldn't be PC now due to the weed reference ! lol !

  • @dark1ankh neither would the "hops you up like speed" reference either. I had no idea what she meant by that as I was 10 when this came out.

  • Saw a 12" of this in the thrift store but the cover was empty. No record inside, unfortunately. :(

  • @OldMusicOnVinyl1 they keep them in back if i'm not mistakin cause they dont want people to steal cd's and other things as well so if its there i doubt it but just talk to the store workers and ask them to see if they have the record in the back or u could always try amazon well good luck ......

  • This was in the Ninja Turtles movie, wasn't it?

  • @crashbandi53 Yep, part of the soundtrack. COWABUNGA!

  • manuela kamosi... what a unique voice... where are u Ya Kid K?!?!?!?

  • Man What a TUNE!!!!

  • This sounds like Streets of Rage music.

  • @Bonanza86 streets of rage was released in early 90's but as far as rave and techno went, nothing changed much then but yes you'd find this kinda music in SOR :)

  • "WHOO! YEA! WHOO! YEA! WHOO! YEA! WHOO! YEA! WHOO! YEA! WHOO! YEA! WHOO! YEA!"

  • It would be nice if justin beiber did a remake of this.I can picture Lil'Jon doing the "get up and party!" parts.

  • @weezyfan25 FUCK THAT SHIT!!!! They should never mess with a classic!!!!!

  • bring back old school..oh yeah!!!

  • Banging song! Loved this when it came out.

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soundtrack. Brings me back!

  • Awesome song and I remember rocking those British Knight kicks back in the 5th grade!!! Ahhh the memories....goodtimes :)

  • Dis shiz was in Ninja Turtles !

  • love it

  • Love old skool rap, thats the way it should even be like now

  • @abgirl79 Rap is in different stages and phases nowadays .. you need to open up your horizons .. and listen to the underground artists .. nowadays you hear Kanye West .. Lil Wayne .. and whatever .. its all about punchlines now .. lyrics have gone more sophisticated then in years past .. compare to 80's to the 90's to the 2K decade .. rap has evolved whether is old school rap .. gangster rap .. or gimmicks of today

  • @abgirl79 i agree for the most part but rap was by far was perfected by the 90s however all of that good subject matter has been murdered so i think this kind should be out more instead of that i got money and white bitches bullshit

  • @ninjadude126 Gangsta and hip hop/hip pop overtook this type of Rap... Kinda sucks, this stuff was more positive and fun.

  • sweet, when hi hop, rap, dance..all of that was good, you ask me about stuffs these days? pure crap

  • Makes me think of Streets of Rage.

  • I smoke the mic like weed. (killed it)

  • @JCY006 The version on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles album had the weed part cut.

  • @Aetas3000 i thought i didn't remember that part being in the song. i had only heard that version until now.

  • oh wow i forgot about this song.

  • Lesbian.

  • @rastawella1 Did I direct my comment at you? NO! OKAY?

  • Comment removed

  • @rastawella1 Well, I'd be quite surprised to be honest. But there's no proof so it don't mean nuthing.

  • Comment removed

  • @rastawella1 There is nothing wrong with being called a lesbian. Come back down to earth!!

  • Comment removed

  • @rastawella1 I am so looking forward to the PROOF. I really do hope you prove me wrong. I wait with baited breath. Peace out!

  • Man U Gotta Love That Old School..

  • Back in the dday we used to call tunes like this 'Beer Tent Raver Music'. All the pissheads used to dance Acid House style to tunes like this in awful clubs in places like Rochdale, Oldham and Halifax,.

It left the decent music in great clubs for the people who trully appreciated it so in some respects thanks you Hi Tek 3

  • @trimmytrab Curious, can you point me towards some cool stuff that's decent? I'm reminiscing on old tunes like this from high school, but I want to know more, go deeper.... Any suggestions?

  • Wasn't this something to do with those Kung Fu turtles?

  • No, it just ended up on the soundtrack on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and was released as a single in America and Britain off the soundtrack. When it was on the soundtrack, the song was edited to remove the drug references off the lyrics.

  • haha god damn those 80s vocal samples :D

  • The YEAH WOOP thing is off "Think" by Lyn Collins

  • I haven't heard this since very early 90's. I loved this music!

  • Not quite the 80s... Actually released January 1990 & re-released with greater success nine months later in September. Technotronic producer Jo Bogaert's spin-off with a factious trio credited as simply; Kovali, El Sati & Yosef.

  • oh shit! I remember hearing this when I was 8!

  • but he is not the hi tek who made beats for blackstar no?

  • @chiko54 The MC is Ya Kid K, and She is a girl not a boy. And she deserve mad respect.

  • @PACOTE318 Yes, you are correct. And your English writing is very good :)

  • @sentient001 ; You know you're old when you recall she was a girl, hehe. To be honest she was a surprise, but mad respect for female rapping? Sorry not good enough.

    Mc Lyte

Queen Latifah (before the movie contracts & tv stardom)

    Mishee Me

    Moni Love

    Roxanne Shante

All came before Ya Kid K and inspired her, but Ya kid K was made for hip-house. Not sure why she quit so young ... her lil' sister or cousin is doing her career now at this.

  • @sentient001 shes also the MC for technotronic, they deserve mad respect

  • @sentient001 Yeah right, if that's a girl singing this I'm the President of the US.
