@2002REDIS300 i agree and disagree at the same time lol yes the srt is the god of kits for the is300 but prices are now 6.6k! for the kit only. So its mainly for those who want to have everything already setup and ready to run 400whp+. But I dont recommend it for those seeking newbie levels of boost 300whp then is not worth it. I got lucky i picked one up for 4.3k so im static! lol

any idea how much hp and/or torque the stock IS frame chassis and rear end can take? i assume the bolt on turbo kit is a safe amount but i've seen some 400-650hp is300s with rear end mods and subframe swaps with the GS sedan.

yes above 450 your risking the axles and diff.

ok thanks, on that note, i've got a 1980 corolla im rebuilding with turbo/efi conversion. i hope to get about 400 daily with that. i'm taking the rear end by a shop i know is good (owner has roots in drag racing) and see what they can do to get all that power to the ground. i'll post a vid when i've got the thing running.
