Thats what makes the world so freakin great! Not everyone is the same nor do they want the same thing for themselves so we should embrace that!

I agree with this video! I consider myself to be a very proud black woman and I'm goin natural because I damaged my hair over the years so I'm starting over but I might go back to relaxers but nothing is wrong with either one, they both are beautiful if taken care of properly

Do anyone actually know what healthly hair really is? Do everyone on this page actually think your hair is healthy by puting any kind of chemicals in your hair (relaxer, conditioner, hot oil treatments, color etc) all man made products? thats not healthly ...thats toxic! just keep is simple wash your hair and put oil in it and live!!.be creative!!..all the extra stuff is not healthly....its not our fault but black peope or confused about themselves....(READ & RESEARCH ABOUT YOUR HERITAGE)
You said it right. there's a lot of natural women who think relaxed women are tyring to look white, and that's not the case. Everyone has a perception of how they see themselves and a preference to what they want. There's plenty of black women who are black and proud but still relax because they like the silky and flowing look.
And natural hair is not ugly, it's beautiful as well. And it definitely depends on how well you take of your hair because natural hair can be brittle.
Im a ghanaian and first generation american and i honestly think blacks in general have an intense issue with acceptance. BLacks in AMerica have so much culture and beauty but like the most "conscious people" run to africa and like rape our culture(or what they see on the travel channel) instead of valuing their own BEAUTIFUL and diverse culture. like damn! i think its weird that alot of proponents for natural hair devalue "blackness" to be defined by a texture of hair... no you are not more black or aware just because you dont perm ur hair..And relaxed haired people are not more attractive because they hair straighter hair.

I totally agree anything you get in your hair needs care and if you don't your hair will not grow healthy, it may grow and be damaged and will fall out later, but don't perm in the kitchen and cry about hair coming out, don't twist your hair and don't wash or take care of it and wonder why when you comb it it comes out. Love your hair and respect peoples choices to wear their crowns any way they so choose. I love you all!

i really apriciate the fact that you posted this because i am a black woman who is proud of my roots, however i choose to relax my hair because i dont have the time or patience to style it when it was natural. i used to simply wear wigs b4 my relaxer and people thought it was because i wasn't proud of my own hair but it was truly for simplicity and i actually admire those with their natural curl and the often untapped beauty that it shows so thank you for expressing the same

I love and appreciate this vid! Thanks so much for saying what alot of us have been feeling/thinking. I am a natural woman that had relaxed hair for many years. I transitioned because i was tired of the chemicals and i found out how bad they were to your health. It just didn't matter to have straight hair after that. Now if i want to, i can press it out and get the same results, but i love my natural texture! I never look down on anyone for decisions they make. It is just hair anyway, no big :)
