In my opinion, and its just an opinion,  the mark of a truly talented artist is being versatile in their music.The ability to change up styles/sounds so as to not be the same thing throughout each album is one of the greatest attributes to possess . It can get old hearing songs that are similar from one album to the next (e.g.-Nickelback). Even if I may not like a certain song/songs I still have much respect for the artist for being themselves and not listening to what others think.

In this Moment sounded terrible as a metal band in their first album. The first In this Moment album was crap and it sounded like a bad heavy metal album. I think the second album is great and it's not really a metal album.

Are you kidding dude? Beautiful Tragedy was really good, for the most part. Marias smooth and clean vocals, mixed with her high pitch screams sound incredible. Way different and unique from other metal bands with chick singers. Evanescence doesnt do that, Otep doesnt do that often, Idk about Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation doesnt scream, Arch enemy is almost all screams and growls, And I cant say for Paramore. But thats just my opinion.
