  • Do you think this camera is durable? I'm look for something that can take a beating and this thing is only $200 bucks now for decent-ish quality.

  • Now i know what its like to be a fish, thank you sir for this expierience.. xD

  • well image underwater looks great but above water too many pixels...still photos r 2 mp which is boring ...is the vpc-ca9 better? i dunno what to buy actually ..i could go for the full hd compacts and add a waterproof housing ...i dunno

  • @underoath115

Very true! This camera is only good in high light condition, and underwater, and that's it. Lol. The good thing about this camcorder is that it was designed to take where I wouldn't dare take any other camera. So far it has always been very useful in these situations.

  • just look at 3:10 at the fish stunning qaulity im definatly getting one

  • How do you upload videos to windows movie maker from the sanyo xacti waterproof digital video camera? I connect it to the computer with a usb port and I imported the videos I want to put together, and it didn't work. It came out as MPG4 files. and whdn i tried putting it into wmm, it says no items match my search (i have vista). how do i import the videos that i want to put together? please respond someone! D:

  • @CbabyFTW mpg4 dosnt work in movie maker try windows live movie maker just as good but you can import more

  • It was a joke, fool.

You are so smart... I'm impressed.

So sensitive about your videos, lol

    Mr. Movie maker.

You need to lighten up bro. I liked your video and rated it 5stars, good day to you.

  • @samsiteone

Far from a fool, and no, I will not lighten up. People love making foolish comments to others on this site, then, get angry when people strike back. I never claimed to be a movie maker, and I don't make fun of people. Thanks for viewing.

  • BOOOORRRIIIIIING!

Get some red belly piranhas then stick your hand in there with that camera,

if you do I'll subscribe. Muaaaaahhhhaaaahahahahahaha.

  • @samsiteone

You know nothing about fish, so why even comment?

First of all, red belly piranhas will not bite you if you stick your hand in the tank. I've owned a few in the past, so I know this for a fact. This video was made to test a camcorder. It was not made to attract your attention, and I couldn't care less if you subscribe to ANY of my videos. Trolls like you spoil YouTube.

  • please hold the camcorder steady. Pretty much not 1 second that the video is steady enough for me not to get a dizzy headache.

  • @dnhyy

Sorry, lol! This video was shot quickly as a test, and was never meant to be a blockbuster smash. Lol!

  • lol @ 3:00 minutes in, your fish is camera shy ^_^

  • thats a really nice fishtank (:

  • how many megapixels

  • 2.0

  • dam... must be loud for the fish

  • Please help, i have the same camera as you but when i upload it, the quality is pixilated and horrible. I set it to record in HD. Also, i cant view it on my pc besides with quick time which makes the quality look terrible. Please help!!!!!

  • not bad

  • can u do a zoom test? like un underwater test? with zoom ?

  • is this the sanyo xacti camera that many youtube stars are advertising?

  • Yep. I'm the next rising star. Ha ha!

  • yes

  • so i guess thats what being a fish is like lol

  • LOL!

  • Except without the weird noise hurting ya ears lol

  • I want the white one with blue text... but Amazon only sells the ugly yellow and girly blue... lol

    sucks...

  • check ebay, they have ones for 360 w/ shipping and an extra battery, brand new, in white :)

I'm buying one in a few days!!

  • Haha just kidding!

Great job on the HD encoding for YouTube, looks excellent. The close up detail looks sharp.

Thinking of getting one for surfing video. Shopping around looks like about 400 including a 16GB SDHC card to give you just over 3 hours of HD recording, not too shabby.

  • I think you can get a good used aquarium for about $40

  • how much does it cost??

  • theres 2 different kinds, one is 200, and the other one is 400

  • the SANYO XACTI VPC-WH1 (the one that goes UNDERWATER)is $400

the SANYO XACTI TH1 (DOES NOT GO UNDERWATER) $300

  • the TH1 (non waterproof) is 1080p and is 350, they have a 260 one that is 720p like this one, but is not waterproof.

  • Would you recomend buying one of these?

  • Yes! It is a great daytime, underwater camera. Not so hot at night. I am very very happy with it. I just learned that after using it in water on a hot day, do not take it into a room with AC and try to use it right away. It will develop condensation inside it, and the camera will act crazy. Let it dry outside, or in a garrage area before using it again inside the house.

  • does this underwater camera work good for videos thats not underwater? because im get ting this camera and im gonna make videos underwater and out of water

  • i might be really stupid but i was reading about it and it said it can go under water for an hour. does that mean an hour for the whole time you have the camera or an hour for each battery life thing

  • It means that the camera was tested and works fine for 1 hour under water. Not one our for the entire life of the camera. LOL!

  • that is just crazy awesome

  • Do not buy the panasonic sdr sw20 !!!

  • watch this in HD, it looks so cool

  • since it is a HD 720p camera, how it look on at HD tv? did you really recommend to buy it ?

  • it takes stunning video underwater, and in daylight. But, low light situations are not that impressive. I love it, and I use it all the time now. Yes, it looks 100 times better on my HD tv.

  • SICK

  • I only have one question so please answer.

Do you get a battery charger when you buy the camera or do you have to buy new batteries everytime they "die" ?

  • Yes, you get a charger and a battery. And, the battery last 3 hours for recording time. That is very very good.

  • Wow, thats a really good camera. I'll keep an eye out for those.

  • Have you tested it in a swimming pool yet? how did it perform?

  • No, not yet. I got it on Tuesday, but I plan on using it in the pool as soon as possible.

  • i used it today at my local ymca and especially on underwater mode the quality is very good.

  • how deep was the pool u tried it in pal???
