This video is highly inaccurate in both narration and imagery. Most laughable is the suggestion that Quisling had to be removed before the Norwegians could fight back. They started fighting immediately, and the sinking of Blücher meant that the king and real government was able to escape and continue fighting for two months before going into exile. Quisling was in fact removed by the Germans, and wasn't given a role by them until 1942. Also some of the footage looks like different time and place

@thwoolfe but we're a small country and it's pretty good to resist a much bigger military power for such a long time. and the only reason norway was taken was becouse of sweden! they sold Iron ore and other metals to nazi germany and the brits tried to keep swedish cargos away from the north atlantic and that's the reason why hitler needed to conquer norway and establishing Festung Norwegen. that's pretty much the reason of why Norway dislike the socalled "neutral" Sweden.

@thwoolfe i'm not denying the fact that the germans where one of the best if not the best military power at the time. but they fought for the wrong ideology. i think that if hitler would not start making troulble he'd made the worlds leading superpower and the best country on earth. but the way it happened and the things he stood for is the reason he lost the war and germany was a hellhole for many years during the cold war.

@thwoolfei didn't know that. the versailles tractate is the main reason of why the germans felt so humiliated that they had to start a war. the whole country faced a hyperinflation and that's an indirect reason of ww2. there were mistakes made on both siden, the germans were worst, but it's the allies who made them worst, if you know what i mean ;)

These are not original footages of the fights in Norway at all. At 6:30 you see a mountaineer firing a MG42 which was introduced not before 1942 into the Wehrmacht.
