At that time the car was a stock WRX Type RA. The car is fairly well modded now.

There are 2 versions of RA on classic 4 doors , the WRX RA and the STI RA this being equip'ed with roof vent and DCCD,

No M8 YOU are wrong. The type RA came with a basic spec but also with custom options. This RA was spec'd with air con and no roof vent. Some even came from the factory with with electric windows!!! It was a custom option. The whole idea was to homologate the car for group N rally. This is a genuine RA, the VIN number confirms this.
