I think some radio show host in Calgary fired up the sharks after this game when he called them absolutely guttless for not doing anything after this hit.

Actually this hit completely changed the momentum of the game and the Flames rallied with four goals to take the game 4-3. Check the stats if you want it was game 3 of the first round in the '08 playoffs.

To be fair, in the last four seasons, the Sharks have gone to the second round three times and the conference finals once. And aside from the collapse against Detroit, I'd say they never 'sucked' against Edmonton, Calgary and Dallas. Calgary was 'old NHL', Edmonton got momentum after a marathon win, and Dallas just let Turco out-do Nabokov. You could argue that if this team got a few bounces, they've got at least one Cup in the past 4 years.
Umm, I will admit San Jose had the better team in the series, but I find it seriously sad they had so much trouble with the flames. Anyways I'm guessing they'll be eliminated next round.

it's incredibly easy to not see an elbow that doesn't fucking happen. BTW, that hit near the end of regulation in game 7 between Dallas and SJ where another Snark got a beatdown was almost as good as this one lol.

The ref doesn't call a penalty on Sarich and in fact gives the Sharks a call for retaliating. Do you know something the people in the commentators with an amazing view and the officials at ice level that made the call don't?

I was at the fucking game and saw the hit happen in person. I hope you see Marleau walking the streets of San Jose one day (actually he'll probably be traded soon anyway) so you can ask him if Sarich got an elbow up and he can tell you it was a clean hit. The Flames will be back.I have to admit that San Jose did have a better team then Calgary this year but its also too bad that Kipper coulndt steal it. Thats what had to happen in order for the Flames to win the seventh game.Good luck Sharks(even though i cant stand them for beating Calgary lol)

It's not so much that as he CHANGED HIS LINEUP AFTER THIS GAME. Not that it would've made any difference, but after a game like this, you keep your lineup exactly the same. The change killed the mo, and pulling Kipper in game 7 didn't help

To be fair, in the last four seasons, the Sharks have gone to the second round three times and the conference finals once. And aside from the collapse against Detroit, I'd say they never 'sucked' against Edmonton, Calgary and Dallas. Calgary was 'old NHL', Edmonton got momentum after a marathon win, and Dallas just let Turco out-do Nabokov. You could argue that if this team got a few bounces, they've got at least one Cup in the past 4 years.
