OK, the costumes and general idea of Hair haven't dated well. One reviewer years ago said it best when he wrote "Hair was written by people who weren't hippies and thought they knew the counterculture." But having said that, those singers were pretty powerful.

I want to see the show so freakin bad! I've only seen the movie which I know is way different from the broadway musical. This is one of the musicals I want to be in more than anything :) Let the Sunshine In always makes me cry. I saw this last summer in NYC and it was AMAZING! I went on the stage with the cast and sung "Let The Sun Shine". They go into the audience a lot and play with people's hair! I hope I can ausition for this musical someday! =-)

I unfortunately never caught the original cast. But the new cast has been on for 4 weeks now, and they're just amazing. They have a lot to live up to, but even then, I feel like they've proved themselves.

And I give them so much respect for being that comfortable with their bodies that they can get naked 8 times a week in front of random strangers. And like I said before, the cast was SO SO SO humble and genuine when I met them after the show. :)
