I think Mark Ingram is great, but I don't think he'll do well in the NFL. He was a hard running back in college, but in the NFL it will be harder to break tackles. I think Trent Richardson will be a better NFL running back. I hope they both do well though.

They also will have the hardest hitting safety in the NCAA, Mark Barron. The CB's will now have a lot more experience and it was lack of experience that killed the defense last year. But that problem is long gone.

Perfect song for a smash mouth back but the reality is that he couldn't out race or out do anyone in anyway to get by so even though he put up good stats I doubt that he'll be anything more than Chris Wells. Thats is especially easy to say because of the fact that I know that no more than 3 REAL good players come out of each draft on average.

@205seeme 15 starters MrDadevilleKid, and I have to agree with you. That schedule is brutal, and although they had a top 10 recruiting class.....it won't matter next year. Too many revenge games and too many away games, and no Cam and Fairley and 80% of the O-Line gone.....will prove to be too much to overcome. They'll be ok eventually, but not next season. Any AU fan that thinks so is very committed, or either they haven't seen their schedule yet.

Perfect song for a smash mouth back but the reality is that he couldn't out race or out do anyone in anyway to get by so even though he put up good stats I doubt that he'll be anything more than Chris Wells. Thats is especially easy to say because of the fact that I know that no more than 3 REAL good players come out of each draft on average.

@StrateEdgeBeast21 - You're right, because they were doting over his 1.53 time in the 10-yard. (Last year's RB average in the 10-yard split was 1.63. Being a full tenth of a second faster over just 10 yards is HUGE.)
Your "analysts" also said that they'd rather have his 1.53 quickness than someone else's 4.4 - 4.5 speed.
Let the WRs & DBs have the speed. RBs NEED that quickness to shoot the gaps at the line of scrimmage. That's not MY take on things; that's just comon knowledge.

@205seeme 15 starters MrDadevilleKid, and I have to agree with you. That schedule is brutal, and although they had a top 10 recruiting class.....it won't matter next year. Too many revenge games and too many away games, and no Cam and Fairley and 80% of the O-Line gone.....will prove to be too much to overcome. They'll be ok eventually, but not next season. Any AU fan that thinks so is very committed, or either they haven't seen their schedule yet.
