  • i wanted to see the recipe, but both these people are so annoying, i can't listen long enough to hear it all.

  • cajun uses a roux as its base for most of their food where as creole uses more tomatos in their cooking. A lot a cajun uses a lot of butter and cream and cajun is more rustic and robust. I love both style and I cook both style.

  • Born and Raised south of New Orleans in Thibodaux, La. you had the spices and I'm very impressed! I would actually consider this an Etouffee than a gumbo. BUT i think you did a great job. So enjoy you're birthday on Friday and LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!! Ma Ya Sha!

  • I used to own a cajun restuarant in Lafayette... Cajun and Creole are not country and city ..they are from different parts of the world actually. Neither corn or beans would be part of any gumbo I have ever had, and I am a native cajun..I have been thinking about a raw praline recipe that I think would be pretty good, and I think I am going to have to come up with a better gumbo, no offense meant Ann Marie, but this is not near what a cajun gumbo would be like...I am thinking something w/ tahini
