Just checked out Rainbow Bridge online, and it looks pretty cool. O-Cast features a list of other recommended reading/viewing for fans of modernized mythology; you can check it out on our website in the video description.
While updating the classics hasn't been a new concept for hundreds of years, it certainly is a lot of fun bringing these stories to a new audience!
Episode One of O-Cast will air Monday Oct. 26th if you'd like to see what it's all about.
Because two people have never had the same idea, ever? Come on! Mythology is in the public domain, and the idea of gods/immortals consorting with modern-day humans has been done many times with great results. Examples just in the past few decades: American Gods, Everworld, Gods Behaving Badly, heck, the classic rock song Sympathy for the Devil takes a mythologized view of the Christian devil and inserts him into everyday life... and even that song was based on a novel by Bulgakov!
Also, it took me a while to find Rainbow Bridge online, but it does look pretty funny. Maybe not as polished as O-Cast, but it has Norse gods and their mythology is pretty out-there and hilarious to begin with.
This YTShow is superduper!!!

Hmmm. This looks identical to another web series called RAINBOW BRIDGE.
Theirs: Norse gods come to earth and pose as hight school kids so that they can learn about earth and stop the end of the world.
Yours: 12 Greek gods come to earth and pose as young NYers to prevent extinction. Veerrryy similarrr. the only difference is RAINBOW BRIDGE is good.

O-Cast © is a mockumentary-style webseries created by the 12 Olympian gods of Greek mythology to broadcast their new lives as 20-something New Yorkers living in one apartment. Comedy ensues as they combine forces to convince the mortals of their modern relevance in order to save themselves from extinction.
