My dad was a chief, and he said it was some of the best years of his life! (He was inducted before they couldnt "haze" the sailors with crazy drills, like running around with a fish strapped to ur neck!)
Is there a Black Chief Petty Officer's Association? If not the USN needs one because Diversity builds unit cohesion. Right? Also, the CEO of Diversity Inc, Luke Visconti, has convinced the Flag-level myrmidons that "positive discrimination" is mandatory for the 21st century Navy.
Chief's Creed: A Chief Petty Officer shall not drink. However, if he should drink, he shall not get drunk. If he should get drunk, he shall not stagger. If he should stagger, he shall not fall. If he should fall, he will fall in such a manner, as to cover up his rate so, that passerby will think he is an officer.
We just had a pinning ceremony here on base. That was the most uncomforable 90 minutes of my life. Remind me to throw myself under a bus before I attend another one of these.

That bullshit creed is crap and those losers follow none of that. who do they think they are kidding? 20 years of working for those losers,I put them to shame. they are as corupt as any navy officer. let the public really know the truth.

what a joke and embarassment to the navy. Look at all of those fat, out of shape and arrogant stupid E-7's. Now they can all walk around and hold their coffee cups or sit on the john for 3 hours reading their playboys. that is the real navy on ship, I know
Apparently you have some residual nitrogen in your cerebral vasculature. Yoou should surface and vent your casing bubblehead. I'm not a Marine fool. I'm a Corpsman. Though I appreciate being called a jarhead.
Whats the matter, did I strike a nerve that most Navy Chiefs are overweight? Step away from the doughnut. As far as your bullet sponge comment, I'll take that as a compliment. You should come out and try it on land. I'd run you into the ground.
Dude. I was on the Maryland with two of those guys. Please, write me back and tell me their names if you get a chance -- first and forth on the right from us. Carter is one of 'em. I can't remember the A-ganger. I should have kept a damn journal, man. Let that be a lesson to you guys still in. If you don't write down these things you WILL forget and, believe me, even though you don't think so, you WILL miss them all.
They are in a sub. They don't have much of a choice if they are on deployment. That aside, they are a very overweight bunch. Sub food must be really good. As a Chief Select, these guys make everyone else look bad. They need some PT in th FMF to get them into trim...LOL Semper Fi
