  • this is cool

  • I actually came here to find Piston Honda's entrance jingle.

Instead I came to find a pretty neat little number that makes me want to fly away like a flower petal.

  • The music, the voices of this group, transcends all!

  • 日本に生まれて幸せ(^^)

  • i wondering who wrote this?THERE AWESOME :D

  • Hey guys, here is the site with Romanji and translatio, enjoy ;) jpopasia.com/lyrics/16254/rin-1/sakura-sakura.html<----

  • Hey guys, here is the site with Romanji and translatio, enjoy ;)

  • Here is the site with romanji and translation, enjoy ^^

  • Here are the english lyrics for those who want to know it:

As the bright colors of the falling cherry blossoms unravel my heart

Your face brightens and fades away under the moonlight

Waiting for you for so long in that garden, I searched the shadows for your waving hand

But when the wind touched my cheek, it reminded me that spring would come

Looking at the bright cherry trees and their blossoms in mellow light

Separated from each other, you searched that day for a glimpse of the moon

  • @MrStoned93 haha that's what i thought but i wasn't too sure and i wanted to make sure............ but thanks x]

  • Taking out those damp and dusty fireworks put away long ago

You told me that falling cherry blossoms were the tears of spring

Bright like those cherry blossoms, I will live in the wind

The moon will become full far away in the sky, and shine on us all

Under these cherry blossoms, as if we were one, sharing the same thoughts

To glide through the present, our shadows will fuse together and become one silently

  • I really love this. I'd kinda like to know a English lyric tho. Beautiful! And the video is dreamy it takes me away.

  • @BatmansGurl36 It's a song abou ther cherry blossoms, just google it and write 'english lyrics' after it

  • Thats really some guitar pick... Beautiful song!

  • @moonstarwarriors In fact that's a Japanese traditional bass-ish instrument played with a seashell.

  • @BruninhoCallofDuty6 it was kind of a joke... but thnx 4 the info bout tht

  • I found a piano page with Sakura Sakura title on it, so I search it on YouTube. I'm not sure if this is the right one, but this song is beautiful.

  • it really is beautiful when you think about, the song is :D

  • love this song :)

  • beautiful song ;D

  • Sounds rather beautiful though I cannot understand a word.

  • @GalliumSAMA I doubt I would make any difference. Words alone would fail to comprehend or capture the beauty of this song.

Altough I must say, Japanese language in itself is music to my ear.

  • @GalliumSAMA Sorry writing mistake. it supposed to read "I doubt it would make any difference"

  • Why does this sound like the SHAOLIN movie song?

  • @MrBlacklorre That's because they share the same theme: Traditional Eastern. Heck, even Traditional Bisaya music (Look at Sinulog) resembles this sometimes.

  • dis song is so beautful! i <3 it! its really nice :)

  • moi je chante sa en musique et meme pas de traduction tou en japonai !!

  • とうとう100万回突破してましたね。

    おめでとうございます

  • When they make "Japanese music", traditional scale and musical instrument are used.

However, nothing is known about a rhythm.

It is because they conflict with the rule of the Western music which they know unlike a scale or a musical instrument and a deep understanding is required.

For example, Sakura Sakura is traditional music.

However, a rhythm is simple because of children-oriented music.

Since the rhythm is simple, I think that this music is barely known by Japanese people.

  • Many of present-day Japanese do not know Japanese music.

Please ask Japanese people about the musical composition of traditional Japan.

98% of people cannot mention only two or three names.

Moreover, please hear it about "the composer before the Edo period."

    They cannot mention one.

  • @ashiwaraouji what do you know of Japanese people? I think many of them appreciate traditional Japan. Of course they do, actually.

  • @KizunaCare I think @ashiwaraouji is correct. The majority of Japanese people don't know traditional Japanese music, just like the majority of Westerners don't understand the full extent of Western classics. Most Japanese don't even know how to wear kimono. (I mean no disrespect, just pointing out that just because one is a Japanese don't instantly make one knowledgeable in traditional Japanese aspects).

  • @MondrosenPrime But Japan is one of the few countries who still have their traditions rich. and as far as I know, traditional Japanese music is still well-known... it's common in enka and Enka is still getting in the Oricon charts o.o there are lots of ppl learning shamisen now too...

  • Comment removed

  • @KizunaCare While that is true, that's not equal to understanding traditional music. I should've used the word "understand", not "know". Understanding and simply knowing are two different things. We know composers like Beethoven, Mozart, etc. We recognize some of their music. That doesn't mean all Westerners understand the theory & philosophy of classical Western music. The same goes with Japanese people. Most of them "know" but not all of them "understand".

  • @KizunaCare And you can see that Rin', who made modern-traditional music, never gained as much popularity as most J-Pop musicians. So, yes, lots of Japanese enjoy traditional Japanese music but lots of them aren't really that into it (which is fine, everyone has different taste and there are enough Japanese who preserve their culture).

  • cette chanson me sort par les tripes magnifike chanson ke japrend en musike vive le japons et bonne chance pour les seismes et les tsunamie j'aime le japons

  • This is not traditional Japanese music.

It is the pop using "the sound of the Japanese musical instrument" as a material.

  • @ashiwaraouji thank you for the clarification, i've been looking for the "original folk song" and found several which were also titled Sakura Sakura, but none of which had a similar tune.

  • This song reminds me of when i was living in America, i have moved there to move out of a few troubles in Japan and this was the only song my mother sang until she died in America. I was forced to move back to Japan for lack of parents. Hahaha i love this song! :D

  • @lovelytwins111 So where is it better? america or JAPAN!

  • @angels2online Japan has less crime and better employment

America actually has houses and banks are ACTUALLY being used

not as many people yelling in the strrets in japan

    lots of hobos in america

  • @angels2online - Japan has hotter women

  • @lovelytwins111 I am terribly sorry for your loss. And yes, it is a beautiful song.

  • Also ths was the music for Samurai Seven's OP I think.

  • @kitsune720 pretty sure it was fuhen.

Not that it matters, they are both great songs

  • @TheKazal Ah, you are right, on both counts.

  • God I love Rin' 's music so much. I wish they would do more.

  • is this originally a traditional folk song? what title is it?

  • @kiddy211 Not all Americans are idiots, my friend. I do not like the American way, but I was born in America. I'd wish people such as you would give a chance to the few people like me that have great respect for Japan and it's culture and people. I believe you should retain Jin and Rei and try to be curtious to those who have not done wrong or who think differently than the majority of Americans. Watashi wa chūjitsuda Nippon e.

  • @kiddy211 Now you just made both America and Japan look bad. Good job. I'm an American who greatly appreciate other cultures, especially Asian cultures, but I will not say I hate America. America is a country where we have all type of cultures and ethnicity, probably way more diverse than you can think of. American is the reason why homeless people from other countries are still alive today. My family went from nearly entering poverty in Vietnam to a fine life because of America. Open your eyes.

  • @kiddy211 Since you pray, that makes you religious, if you are religious... and cursing America... which consist 2 big continents.. Something is seriously wrong with you.. Youtube, the internet.. is a product of the USA.. don't like us, boycott us. You don't curse a Country because of the 1% making bad irresponsible decisions.

  • @kiddy211 I am Japanese-Vietnamese, "friend". And as much as I know, Japan and America have strong ties with each other. It does not harm to pray, but to curse without proper reason only brings you suffering.

  • Cette musique m'évoque mon année de 6e ! Lol

  • I've always liked Rin '. It makes you want to discover more! Rin' has never lost its roots, its ancestral traditions, his love of country. That's good! This can be seen in this great song! The group Rin' is very talented. Mixes with skill of traditional & modern sounds. Rin' has also always open to other countries. Congrats for this good tribute to Asia & Japan! "Sakura sakura" is sweetness, delicacy, grace, wisdom. Music is strong, mysterious.. Like cherry tree is! Big thought for Asia & Japan

  • @EmiZenn His? Notice they're all girls. Lolz

  • @GaldrofHerons oh yeeah

  • I like humor :) He's important in life. Yeah, humor is better when it's relevant. I see well that they are women. I don't need glasses! ;) L✿L. "His", it refers to word "Rin'". "name of the group". Rin' like a love, tribute to country. We can write "his" or "its". & Rin' is so named, for the word "ring". No worry, if you don't understand, my comment was first for Rin' ;) For me, Rin is a superb name. Many others lovely meanings in Japan, or Asia. &, so wonderful things to say on Rin' & sakura!
